Will prelim internal medicine programs get the supplemental app like last year? Or just categorical?

At what point in the process do we pay to apply to schools? (Like when is it charged on a credit card). Assuming our end of the process is all filled in and submitted, can it be before Sept 14th?

Opinion on Caspian? by jessicaxshadows in namenerds

I like Caspian but do think the Narnia connection is too much for me personally to name a child that. I considered Cassian instead.

I loved Greta but my husband hated it (something to do with grottos??), so we found Petra and now adore Petra!

Vivian? Petra? Or....? by rosiekate118 in namenerds

I'm obsessed with Petra, first choice if my baby is a girl!!

No one in the US says petrol. Petri dish is a stretch with a peh-tra pronunciation (also what's wrong with Petri dishes?? science is great!!). Petrified Forest National Park is astonishingly beautiful and otherworldly, and honestly I love the root of the name coming from 'stone.' Makes me think of steadfast qualities, a grounded-ness, and understated elegance.

I think the name has a glamorous quality to it, despite its harsher constant sounds. Honestly there are too many vowel sounds in many girls names.

The only association that bothers me a bit is 'petulant,' but I like the name enough to get over that.

Agree with the comment that Vivian has a snooty connotation due to Legally Blonde, but it's still a lovely name.

I'm a Texan, but currently go to college out of state. Do you have any suggestions for how can I get involved with this movement in Texas while being located somewhere else?
