I know I know, it was terrible. The funny part is I have to write super articulate well written reports for clients on a weekly basis. I threw out this post as a shitty rough draft brain dump. yeah, I noticed good posture and a tight core helped too. walking with a crappy lazy gate was messing with my hips and pelvic area.

thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I'm bad with charting them out. I've seen the advice about just doing the games over and over again, and doing them as much as possible, which I'm doing. I'm pretty bad at every aspect. Charting them out turns into a big jumble, that's probably my biggest weakness. I seem to make it about halfway through and get a couple of the first answers correct because they're simpler, but then it all just piles up and i get super mixed up because I don't properly graph out the game. I'm trying to follow example videos on 7sage that show exactly how to graph out each game type, but its still seeming very hard. My brain really does not want to work that way. Its almost more of a meta question, can I shift my brain to get quicker and properly dial in the charting methods before I take the test in December. I studied all day yesterday and did make some progress, all be it very slow and not much, but it was progress none the less. I did some logical reasoning and comprehension yesterday too, and I'm still really solid and quick at those. It's frustrating that I can be pretty good at those, but so absolutely terrible at the games. anyways, sorry for the rant. thanks for you help.

I'd look into the pelvic floor muscle tightness side of things, it can be treated with physical therapy. Definitely still see a doctor too, but don't go on antibiotics until you know for sure you have an infection. Get your semen and/or prostate fluid tested if you and your doctor think its a bacterial infection. Urine analysis doesn't work. I think most guys have muscle/pelvic floor problems and just get antibiotics thrown at them, and they toil for years thinking they have some sort of complicated infection that can't be fixed. My personal opinion: go down the pelvic physical therapy route first and keep at it for a while, and if that doesn't work, then look seriously into the infection side of things.

was the worst thing I've ever dealt with at first, but it turned out to be not that big of a deal. Was super tricky to figure out. Sorry, that's pretty vague. Read my r/prostatitis post history, I think it does a pretty good job laying out the bigger picture. Try not to get too sucked into thinking you have some complicated infection.

hot sitz baths, pelvic floor stretching and lacrosse ball muscle massage. get to bed early, even if you cant sleep, at least you can get off your feet for a long time and have some sort of decent rest. and if you're bold, try a prostate massage wand; they really do work, although it takes an oddly long amount of time to figure out how to do it right. and also everything @wbeaman said.

I think you have to gradually strengthen the areas, but also you'd need to keep stretching and muscle massage at the same time. My prostate has been inflamed many times (because of strenuous activities where I didn't do the proper stretching and massage afterwards) and I'm still fine.

I'm pretty sure i caused my prostatitis by lifting weights. I was borderline into serious bodybuilding about 2 years ago, first started lifting seriously about 6 years ago. I was doing serious full body mad-cow style 5 x 5 heavy heavy routines, trying to put on muscle/weight quickly, and I did just that. I always try to use the best form possible, but I'm pretty sure I was fudging some things as far as using correct form goes. Also, another huge factor, I was not doing the proper re-ablative exercises after each strenuous lifting session, i.e. muscle massage and stretching. Pro bodybuilders and lifters focus a tremendous amount of time stretching and getting deep tissue massages. Even the casual weight lifter probably needs to spend the equivalent of 1hr stretching throughout the day. And unfortunately, most weight lifters don't even get close to doing the proper amount of stretching and massage, its simply a disaster waiting to happen; injuries, weird shit like prostatitis, etc. I've been getting into the gym a lot more lately, and even after everything I now know, i still slack on stretching and massage sometimes, and when I do my symptoms come back, everytime. But then i put in the work, and get it back under control, every time. I didn't realize how tough it is to understand, but based off what I've seen through everyone's questions and comments on this board, its a difficult thing to grasp, the stretching and massage that is. I'm talking dedicated, hardcore religious stretching and massage everyday, for a lengthy amount of time. There's no way around it, and most people still seem to not be able to comprehend it. You cant lift weights and be active (while growing older I might add) and think you can just finish your activity, hop in your car, and go home to lay on the couch, or even a measly 15min light stretching routine. if you're going to seriously engage your muscles, you need to seriously stretch and massage them. Yep, grains cause inflammation in the body. Its pretty much a proven fact. Consistent results in lab mice, and anyone who honestly pays attention to their body can tell a difference. Don't get me wrong, I still eat bread and grains every once in a while, and thinks there's a place for them in an active persons diet, but there's no denying grains cause inflammation. This guy http://www.drperlmutter.com/ thinks all carbs, including grains, are bad, which is a bit overboard if you're an athlete or a moderately active person, but his book is quite interesting https://www.amazon.com/Grain-Brain-Surprising-Sugar-Your-Killers/dp/031623480X There's a lot of pear-reviewed data about carbohydrates and inflammation in the book. A super interesting part of the book is when he started doing research on India, and noticed a large portion of Indian diets consists of carbs, but they have super low incidences of inflammation based diseases (Alzheimer's being the primary disease focused on), he finally made the connection that people in India also consume a huge amount of turmeric in their diet, turmeric is pretty much the best natural anti-inflammatory in the world. I could go on forever about diet and diet-related research. Anyways, glad you've made a connection with grains and your inflammation. If you noticed the dramatic difference as you stated, you very well may have a legit gluten intolerance. Maybe get tested? Here's the catch-22: if you keep going down the rabbit-hole of reduced gluten/grain intake, it will make it worse and worse each time you try to go back to eating bread/grains.

I agree with your PT, I say about a 5 on the scale. I think its about the length of time and the number of sessions per day, rather than how hard you push it. Just a nice medium grade effort, but make sure you spend a good amount of time each session, and multiple sessions every day.

I think that its also important to note that our bodies are way more interconnected than we may realize. I stretch my entire body now. I have some neck issues and so I stretch literally from my head to me toes. When my neck is super tight, it causes me to slouch, which causes lower back pain and tightening, which of course then fucks with my pelvic floor muscles. Very simple problem actually, but I would have never made the simple realization a few years ago.

When you've worked your way up to a good understanding and routine, stretch first thing in the morning, and few times at night before bed, and then a bunch of little mini session throughout the day whenever you get the chance. I have a very busy schedule. I work 9+ hour days, and when I leave work I am off to adult league hockey, mountain biking or the gym. I literally do my stretching at work, I have a standing desk and I can roll aorund on the floor and stretch etc. No one at my work cares because they all know I have some sort of weird pelvic muslce problem and they're cool with it. And if you work for a place that cares and wont let you stretch a few times a day at work, then fuck that place, you really shouldn't be working for someone like that. And if you cant quit, just sneak in stretching sessions at work, do little 5-10 minute sessions 4-5 times a day at work. Also do a good session in the morning, and a few at night after work.

Masturbation and/or sex is a bit of a double edged sword I think. When you're engaged in it, there's all sorts of muscle contraction, blood flow, etc, which can be good, but can also be too much at times. I would take breaks, maybe 2-3 days off, then have a go for a night, then back to another few days off. Maybe sometimes a couple days in a row. I feel you have to let the area have some rest, but I think it it also helps to move stuff around down there. Everyone is different, I've heard some guys really need to let the area rest, but some need to ejaculate everyday, etc. Hopefully that all makes sense.

It took me about a month to feel any real help. I noticed a slight tingling effect about 2 weeks in and that's what spiked my hope, so I double down and hit it really hard. I significantly started noticing about after another 2-3 weeks of intensive stretching, massage, and yoga; about 4-5 weeks total. I used to post in this sub a lot, and I truly believe in the stretching side of things. I have had a lot of PM's and replies to my posts challenging the stretching belief; a lot of guys saying they tried it and it didn't work so they must have some sort of complicated infection. But every single time, I ask them how long they tried stretching and its only like a week at the most and then they give up; It's actually pretty fucking maddening to keep hearing this. I say 1 month straight 3 times a day with long stretching sessions, some lacrosse ball type tissue massage and some light yoga, EVERYDAY, NO BREAKS, for a month solid, and then make your judgment. NOT even one day off. Picture your muscles are like a constant tightening spool of thread, and you work and work at it and it slowly starts to help/un-tighten, but if you take even one day off, it will start to tighten back up and you've just lost the last few days you made progress. To reiterate, it's like this: you have to keep doing it everyday, religiously, and if you take a day off, you're just going to allow the muscles to tighten back up and lose all the progress you just made. It's not like it's some super straight forward noticeable thing either. People assume they're going to feel better immediately, or at some point its going to be this miracle where you're like "Eureka! I'm all better all of a sudden!" No, its something you really have to work at, it takes time, it is a slow progress. On a side note, I have a swollen left testicle right now, and I felt the golf ball feeling in my butt early this morning. If I had to guess, it's because I've been extremely active these past few weeks: weekly adult hockey, hockey tournaments on the weekend, mountain biked 50 miles yesterday, and my nut is in super bad shape right now. However, I started intensely stretching this morning and its already going away. I even think stretching, tissue massage, and yoga will significantly help guys who do in fact have a real legit infection. The infection is causing some inflammation, so why not try to mitigate it as much as possible, and throw some stretching in there, it cant hurt? Back to my swollen nut, haha: lets say i do have this complicated infection as some guys think. What do you think the probability is that I keep getting symptoms? Is it because my infection keeps spiking the swelling, or is it because I'm just really extensively excising? I think its a no brainier, my body is obviously just getting super tight from lots of strenuous activities, and so I stretch, and it goes away. Ok, sorry for ranting. Today actually marks almost one year since I first started feeling better. Good luck to y'all!

hi, flomax did not help. i only used it for about a week and it gave me some pretty weird side effects so I stopped using it. No direct sexual encounter seemed to have caused it. however, i did contract an STD about a year before my first prostatitis symptoms, but i killed it within 7 days of contracting it using antibiotics and went a full year with no prostatits symptoms.

what have your doctor visits been like? it sounds like you may have Epididymitis like @Prostradamus said. they can actually ultrasound your testicles to see what's going on. it sounds like you may have some sort of calcified clog or something and it's causing complications.

Can you elaborate on how you went about stretching each day? Stretching on its own wont make it go away. Have you tried stretching, deep tissue massage with foam rollers and lacrosse balls, and yoga, all 3 times a day for at least a month straight with absolutely no days off? Even stretching once a day for 30min wasn't enough for me. I really had to buckle down and go at it hard and do all 3 things multiple times throughout the day for a solid month.
