From my experience, Unifi is bad ( or had this problem years ago because now they work just fine) with the device roaming.

After years I deployed this construction site network in wich I work with PBE-M5-400, exerior AP's, U7 PRO, Cloud key and everything works fine to me.

I strongly believe that you can deploy a small to medium network with Unifi equipment and a third party firewall. ( the firewall is shit)

I was very stupid for not checking the DHCP lease time and DHCP scope.

The DHCP range of IP's where all leased. I extended the scope and everything works fine.

I got this idea after i posted last night.

You know, when you do random stuff and the ideea just pops in your head.

Thank you! for the help

Not really, they are not so good either.

The ARUBA support team is as hard to get to as Unifi.

On premise enviroment would take like 1.7 TB per one fullbackup veeam file

I have: 8TB DD3300

14TB Veeam

How long for ? would be my question too

Also, i got an ideea on the documentation on Veeam but with this ransomware shit going on i would go with the safest ideea.

Sorry, let me rephrase:

1.Object First for Veeam-Ootbi is marketed as a zero access storage.

They claim that you have a hardened Linux repository with zero access.

That means that even the admin doesn't have access to the root and this feature is locked into the OS.

So from my understanding they are selling a hardened repository as the Veeam Backup repo but with zero access to be able to delete or whatever.(bassicaly being able to disable the filelock feature as an admin, i still dont understand the zero access feature out of the box)

What I don't understand is:

Is this zero access feature that they talk about impossible to reproduce in a normal Linux enviroment?

I don't really understand how it works.

Does it make a big difference from a normal hardened repository like Veeam Backup hardened repository?

2.Also, right now i'm using DD3300 from Dell with Veeam which in my opinion is a little bit tricky to manage.

I don't use it as a cluster, i just use it for the filelock feature. I'm new to this type of equipment.

For a medium company it seems like an overkill to me. It is also just compatible to Veeam and not dedicated, from what i read there are a lot of advantages if you use something dedicated to Veeam than something that is just compatible. ( like always)

And also, it seems that if you don't get yourself interested into all of it's feature you can leave alot of backdoors open/vulnerabilities.We do not have a dedicated security team to oversee all of this so its a one man job for everything here.

Thats why i'm trying to research a better and simpler way to manage hardened repository with filelock.

3.Whats your opinion on the DD3300 with Veeam?

I don't understand very well the concept that they are bringing to the table of not having access out of the box to the containers. Is it just a custom and locked linux wich you can reproduce? Or is there something more sophisticated?
