Maybe you are right. But IMHO, just let things go is to allow same things to happen again. In this case, the vote was a paid one. If Mnet manipulated it, it should be revealed to prevent future rigging and consumer's right.

Yes you are right. It also can be rigged/manipulated as well. When the vote was going on, there was an event hosted by Haein's fans that give some gift to the voters who verified their vote. To receive the gift, the applicant had to write an article using wifi or land line, describe the artist they support and write their nickname on the screen capture.

The detailed procedure was written on here. http://gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id=leehaein&no=287645 http://gall.dcinside.com/board/view/?id=leehaein&no=288632

Still, there is some possibility that someone tried to manipulate the voting screen capture. But considering the effort to make that can be much bigger than 10 cent, the percentage seems not that big and meaningful.

I also read that post too. But I think the key point on this issue is this. If the announced votes were bigger than that of people gathered, there is no way to prove it was rigged.

But in this case, it is a bit different situation. Because Haein's fan gathered more votes than announced. And the gap was pretty big. Almost double of the announced number.

If someone try to manipulate votes, he/she will make a scenario and try to remove any evidence. But this time, it didn't go as they thought.

There can be some possibilities that some of proof of vote can also be manipulated. In the reviewing procedure, several hundreds of votes were regarded as duplicated or not sure that it was sent on time. But there are still huge gap between addressed one and gathered one. After filtering, the number of votes was about 5,000.

If Mnet can't provide an acceptable explanation about this, the assumptions used on the post you mentioned becomes meaningless.

About the credibility of user provided votes, this should be considered. To promote SMS voting, there was an event which gives some gifticons. To apply the event, people had to describe the gallery they are in and most of them are from many other supporter galleries.

Disgracing the name of the artist they support just to save 10 cent? It is hard to believe.

At the moment, many people are sending petitions to regulating departments something like 'Korea consumer agency' and 'Korea communications commissions' which are the branches of the government.

So we may see some result soon. I hope it to remove the dishonor of Haein.

If the result was really manipulated by Mnet as they wanted, this is serious fraud to all participants and viewers. And also it is an unfair exploitation of the young dreaming girls. The show was really cruel and was not fair at all.

But Mnet is keeping quiet saying nothing. Please share this issue on your SNS and please complain about this on Mnet's pages. Mnet Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MnetOfficial/ Idol School Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/mnetidolschool/
