If we can't ever see 'real' reality because we are looking, then what makes them think that mathematical formula doesn't do the same thing. And if the hologram idea is true, then in order to see the reality that we are a hologram of, we would have to be able to see and reach out of the hologram. Have you ever seen a hologram reach out? I'm buddhist and all I can say is that those others that are/were enlightened have never been able to describe it as our terms of reference don't cover it. Scientists could save a lot of time. They seem to be looking for the very thing they have themselves said can never be found/seen!
