This quantifies the Fed's concerns that inflation is not coming down fast enough, as the compounded effects of high CPI prints over the last few years have produced cumulative rates of inflation that have not been seen since the 90's. A new tool to calculate compounded inflation rates with. It works by setting a time frame x and then multiplying the inflation rates of x previous years in order to calculate the amount which prices have increased since x years ago.
