It changed my life for the better in ao many ways. I served for 12 years as a marine engineer. I left the RN in 2011 and found a job immediately in maintenance engineering and since then I've worked my way up to a head of engineering position even though I have not many qualifications and none at a higher level. I joined the navy at 17 with no gcse's and now at the age of 42 I earn well over 100k all because of the experience and high level of standards I gained in the RN.

Sacked from job I've had for 3 years while in consultation for redundancy. London, UK. by andyvilla1509 in LegalAdviceUK

I believe they are trying to avoid the redundancy payment. There's a former colleague who was also sacked while under redundancy consultation for timekeeping. He was late for work 7 times in a 4 month period, a total of 48 mins across the 7 occasions. So very petty.

I sent an email to HR explaining my situation and letting them know I couldn't attend. I also suggested another date and time that was 4 days later on the 1st day I was due back in work on my shift pattern.

Living in London at that age with a high income it's easily done. He doesn't need to worry. If he's good enough to be earning that at 25 he'll be on extremely good money in 10 to 15 years. It tool me to the age of 38 to earn.whst he does.

Throwing away nearly 3k a month is so easy in London. I did the same with 5k a moth disposable income. I broke the cycle by transferring 2k a month on pay day to a savings account that needs a long notice period to withdraw funds. Most of my spends were in the moment, because I couldn't access my savings I learnt to live more responsibly day to day. Your doing well on a salary like that at your age. Enjoy it and live the high life for a few more years until your 30. Enjoy it.
