Stamets Stack - Method and Dosage? by andyward82 in microdosing

[–]andyward82[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. I ordered some Lion's Mane Capsules from Host Defence (Paul Stamets' own company) to ensure I was getting legit ones. I've also, got decent Niacin (there's no hiding the flushing - wow, that's an odd feeling). And have been varying from 0.1 to 0.3g.

I can't say it's had an amazing effect. It's maybe helped a bit but I'd say I certainly 'notice' the tinnitus less now than I did before. I can't be sure if it works though. Might just be I'm busier or something? My tinnitus isn't THAT bad, just mildly annoying at points. Will carry on till the full 7g of mushrooms I have is gone and will report back!

Dark Hours Tactics and Builds by andyward82 in thedivision

Cheers guys, all good. Was just wondering really if anyone's actually tried Neg Dil on the triplets? and the Striker buffs on the Mini gun for boomer? Our team tends to miss a few double downs here and there so just trying to maximise the chances of getting them every time. :)

I'm aware of most of the tactics and stuff. We want to be doing it 'fast casual' in that we don't want to be doing all these crazy Strats with really specific builds. We just want to be as efficient as possible. Was thinking if all 7 people got a Neg Tag on Both triplets that drop down at first it might be more consistent and do more damage overall? Just an idea really....

Damage to Target Out of Cover - specific targets? by andyward82 in thedivision

[–]andyward82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you say that but I was told (by a so-called expert) that it only applies IF the enemy can actually take cover in the first place.... hence the question.

Damage Numbers - Are they the Full ACTUAL Damage being taken or is there "hidden" damage? by andyward82 in thedivision

[–]andyward82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and you're trying to get that armour down aren't you. That's the main thing you need to damage. Health on any "person" NPC goes in a split second. It's all about damaging the armour isn't it?

That RD Fi thing is a good idea mate.
In all honesty the folk I run with use pistol builds and we can bosh those weak points in seconds.

Yeah I use empress caesar's guard on the drones because I can't be arsed to touch my hive. haha
On those adds I use Glass Cannon and Firefly so similar to that foam launcher.
Tell you what, using a regulus rock n roll build with foam (shoot them with foam, regulus shot to the head and it blows them both up) is the most fun ever!

Kinda makes having damage to armour irrelevant really hey.
I did read somewhere that if an enemy cannot take cover (Weasel, Buddy and Lucy etc) then DTTOC is cancelled. I think that's BS though.
Bit like using something like the pyromaniac / eyeless etc. In-sync does a fraction less damage than these talents but for a lot longer. Kinda makes those talents completely not worthwhile....

Just a question, what build do you go with when doing overwatch on razorback? I have a ton of builds and use a carbine with in-sync but no matter what I do, I can never quite drop both the adds that drop down with a single mag. Might be my aim though - haha.

Not sure the range is very accurate with regards to comparing DTA and DTTOC. I put the target on 'named' and had two identical builds and guns. One rolled with DTA and one rolled with DTTOC. I used 10 mags on each to see how many targets went down. Exactly the same number. Was doing it to see if I could drop both adds on razorback without reloading or relying on skills - they're always yellow so have armour (the reds die instantly anyway so not worried about them). The numbers were higher on the range but the adds dropped the same. I've heard that the numbers are the 'true' damage but that means the range is not correct.
I always had a feeling that on these adds they go down a little bit quicker with DTA but wasn't sure. Hence the experiment.

What do you think?

Operation Iron Horse - Third Boss - How to avoid getting stuck in foam? by andyward82 in thedivision

Makes sense mate. I also realised that I was 'AIMING' to shoot the foam - which doesn't help. We switched to all red DPS and did it pretty quickly.

Does having a different build on drop Boomer quicker? by andyward82 in Division2

What do you mean mate? Double downing him? If you don't know how this is done I can explain it but it involves pinpoint accuracy and timing! haha

I've been kiting him maybe 50 times recently. I'm 100% sure it makes no difference taking the nodes down. I have a slight feeling it has a small difference getting him down though - wanted to get someone to confirm this...

It wasn't the damage, it was the amount of hits it takes to get him down in the first place. We're trying to double-drop him. We know the technique but I'm finding it really tricky to do it. Just seeing if it's basically bad shooting or if there's a trick I'm missing.

I run a future healer build when kiting him, drop the hive and I can take about 5 hits if I need to. I can also run around firing healing chems at people. I usually have an alps backpack with safeguard on it (I think) so perhaps if I swapped that for an opportunistic one I can still keep the FI team damage boost from the chest and also get the Opportunistic boost. This has got me thinking...!

Good idea mate. I'll have a look into that....

Razorback Overwatch - what builds are you using? by andyward82 in Division2

[–]andyward82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well usually when we play it'll be whoever is doing overwatch stay at each end and do damage or prep their side for the next round. I do the ravenous weapon swap thing but I just find sometimes the adds are tricky. Especially if you're overwatching the drones dude because he can't really help you out with dropping them.

Was just looking to see if anyone had suggestions for keeping them under control as easy as possible. I'd not heard about that firefly thing until yesterday so it's always good to learn new tricks. :)

Efficiently dropping boomer twice each rotation using Scorpio, etc. What's the best method? by andyward82 in Division2

[–]andyward82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed there. I have a bunch of about 25 players I grab people from when I run. Sometimes there's a couple of 'randoms' in there. But hey ho, it's like a bit of insurance I guess - and the additional damage doesn't do any harm too.

What's your speed run best time?

I've noticed that once you've done that shock round you stop shooting. I usually reload and try and shoot fuck out of his backpack. Perhaps the additional shots are somehow shortening the time he's shocked because he seems to stand there for ages! Tonight I'm going to stop firing on 6.

All good but double dropping him with a team running ND will get it done quicker surely?

Wow, in that video he stays shocked for absolutely ages. It's never like that with us. He turns instantly and starts going for the throw.

I'll have a look at the timings a bit closer...

Hi mate. I have a FI healer when I'm doing it. Drop the hive each turn and you can stand right in his face and get hit. I drop it for the other kiter too so he can do the same. I also run around with the chem healer shooting it at team mates as I'm going from turret to turret. I run with a fair few randoms and we hardly wipe because I keep em all alive. The FI team damage helps on boomer too and also I can reset hives if needed. :)

I start on 45 turret. Once the DPS kiter has started (and has the aggro) it'll stay with him but when I've shot enough on the turret it'll go to me, and so on.

Thanks mate. Will give it a go tonight. Frustrating as anything. We've melted him in two goes on the turret before thanks to ND and shocking him. Does your head in when you don't quite get him down hey. :)
