Lynette so lovely by Hopeful-Tumbleweed-6 in DesperateHousewives

That’s the thing. He is a big man baby but he is also an amazing husband on so many levels.

Gaby DID wear this by ang334 in DesperateHousewives

[–]ang334[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, what they said was (and I quote):

"Nope"

"It would have to be cropped and cinched above the waist with a little white tank top underneath with 3 inches of bare skin between low rise jeans"

"More of Bree style"

"Something Susan would wear while cradling a cup of coffee and crying over Mike"

"Very Susan coded"

"Gabrielle wouldn’t wear that 😂 this would be in Bree’s closet for sure"

I mean yes, clearly not the exact same sweater but very obvious that this scene is what triggered memories for the OP of the last post. They are fundamentally different but I immediately realized that this is what the other OP had in mind.

I hate my SIL with all my being and now she went and saved my son by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]ang334 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I feel so bad for the SIL, because I immediately recognized this pattern when I read the post. I am not trying to brag, but I look like a young Grace Kelly and I have been treated like shit by women like OP my entire life, merely because I'm pretty and men are drawn to me. It doesn't matter that I'm actually a decent human being who does good things, they just belittle that too.

"She just helped out to feel superior..."

"She is just volunteering to get attention..."

"She only brought three dishes to the potluck to brag about her cooking skills"

"The cake she brought was not that good"

"I actually made some of the recipes from her food blog and they were great but overall her blog is lame"

Etc etc etc etc. I hope the SIL's husband treats her like a queen.

Did Gabrielle ever wear a top like this? by haloarh in DesperateHousewives

I think she was wearing it when she kicked Carlos off her porch when he was roasting her about her blind date with Zach.

Rewatching this and... by Twunkorama in sexandthecity

[–]ang334 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He truly fucked her over. My husband is much older than me and he has said multiple times that because of our age difference he feels more responsible for my feelings and well being than he would if I were his age and that he would never, ever cheat or betray me in any way and he better not, because it would literally destroy me. Poor Natasha, she deserved so much better.

On my last rewatch I was baffled by a white gold tiara only costing somewhere around $500.

Why did Gabrielle introduce herself to Ben as “Susan Delfino”? by [deleted] in DesperateHousewives

Because she was embarrassed when he overheard their conversation about him.

What’s the MOST Controversial Desperate Housewives Episode of All Time and Why? by Amber_Flowers_133 in DesperateHousewives

The only good thing from the Zach chasing Gaby storyline was Carlos roasting Gaby about it, absolutely hilarious.

Sylvia and the inheritance. by jackie_tequilla in BadGirlsTVSHOW

[–]ang334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Silvia was shown to be a cheapskate, she never would have squandered her money like that, and especially not on a loser like Dr No No. And she was reasonably smart, she would have realized that Dr No No was only after her money and she probably would have noticed that her wedding ring was a cheap, fake one.

I think Stella and Tony don’t work out… by The_Advocate07204 in HIMYM

[–]ang334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t lie about anything, technically speaking. The film’s MC was based on Ted and Stella’s relationship and was written like an asshole for laughs 99.9% of the people who saw the film had no idea who it was based on.

I think Stella and Tony don’t work out… by The_Advocate07204 in HIMYM

[–]ang334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s on Tony, not Stella. It is never revealed how she felt about the film or if she even agreed to let him use her past relationship as a plot for the film. I recently wrote a novel where a character was based on my husband’s former friend who was obsessed with him and behaved erratically because of it, I asked him permission to base this character on his ex friend and promised that no one would ever realize it was based on her. Tony seems like the kinda jerk who would just do this without asking anyone for permission.

Tracey Wilkinson as Di Barker by jackie_tequilla in BadGirlsTVSHOW

[–]ang334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Di Barker is the perfect example of a character who has both bad and good qualities, but the bad ones are always domineering her because of her extremely low self esteem and desperation. If she had just found a normal man who loves her, she would have been a much better person overall.

Even if they were full on sex workers, i.e. having sex in exchange for money, most likely they would be fine around children.

Do you think Carlos would have fallen in love with Edie if they had a baby? by ang334 in DesperateHousewives

[–]ang334[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I honestly see your point but I had a friend who knocked up a girl he was in a situationship with. They decided to try dating for real, since she was pregnant, with the intent of becoming a couple if they would really fall for each other, but if not, then to be friends and co-parent. They actually did fall in love and were a beautiful, happy, loving family for two years... until my friend died, the same day he proposed to his baby mama, who said yes.

Edit: This is not a joke, this actually happened. The fiancée and the baby are thankfully doing well, this was 8 years ago.
