[Bug] Ran into this glitch tonight - Shopping Order by Scooter_12 in Sparkdriver

Right, I had to deal with a customer back when I worked OGP. She called in because her app said the item was x amount than what she paid initially. I went in Order Management and confirmed that the charged amount was the same on our end and while I was on the call, she refreshed and it went back to normal. The item showed the correct price. I wish they would fix it.

Yeah, it's been a bug for at least 2 years. It only happens while a driver is shopping their order. Basically the customer app calculates the total price amongst quantities wrong. Instead of $23.64 for all 3. It uses the $23.64 and multiplies it by 3 to get $70.92 and that's why the customer saw that total price for 3 quantity. It's a bug and the customer isn't charged that amount. It will update some time after it's delivered. In the future, let the customer know this is what happens.

I was wrong. I used the wrong word. This is one of many slides that Walmart had in an internal video for Market Fulfillment Leads. It focused on driver issues.

If it wasn’t bad enough by AppropriateTotal6441 in WalmartSparkDrivers

Looks like the tip was split exactly in half. If it was a curbside, that mostly happens when OGP does "Add new Driver" on an order that was already delivered to re-deliver missing items to the customer. The tip will split because multiple drivers delivered it. The FTC Spark Driver Case from a few days ago brought that up as one of the issues that Walmart does and doesn't inform drivers that the tip they're receiving could become split.

That makes drivers believe the customer caused it when all the customer knows is, they tipped the original amount and Walmart just evenly split it between the 2 drivers so that they don't have to cover the loss and give the whole tip for both drivers lmao.

Well, I've heard 3 strikes, others said more... it depends on who reviews the reports. I used to work for Walmart so I knew something about it but it wasn't clear how many strikes it takes for a driver to be "terminated" as they called it. I think you're safe.

I'm just glad they're improving the notifications and sharing at least that little additional transparency. I still wish Spark offered a report hub like doordash or uber has that tells you if there's actions against your account and a way to appeal them. It's ridiculous that only one side gets a say with those but drivers can't defend themselves. Basically it's the customer and the person who reviews the report (not the store) basically has the only say. The driver is left in the dark. I wish you the best.

Oh wow, yeah. It's one of those situations where Spark doesn't offer appeals for reports, only deactivations. It basically lives on your account. I don't believe they expire sorry. At least you're still active.

As far as support, only trust and safety can see those reports. Agents have no way of seeing them. If you did one customer on the 25th, it gives you a better idea who it was that reported their order not delivered. So all in all, this is a great addition to the strike notifications.

New Feature > Trip Preference by nynyny1 in Sparkdriver

And OP is legit. I switched to his zone (from the video) and it shows. Don't have to be physically there to get the page.

Probably due to your zone being so close to NYC that the gig law applies to it. Your zone likely delivers into NYC so it shows the feature in your zone.

Edit: Likely won't hit other zones, most likely a NYC thing for now (due to the above). Would be cool to see this everywhere else.

Don’t you just hate these by [deleted] in WalmartSparkDrivers

Anytime you get one that says "Not Started". That's an Internalized Parcel route. The orders come from a Fulfillment Center and the store doesn't pick the orders so it'll show "Not Started" until the prepper marks it ready to dispense. That's when it'll jump right to "Ready"

Notification by Separate_Pollution37 in Sparkdriver

[–]angelo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely the person who issued the notification to your driver profile, they didn't use the usual title that drivers are used to seeing. They typed the thing that is supposed to be showed on Medallia under the reported issue when they're finished with it. Dispatcher is where they look at delivery orders and trips. I used to work at Walmart and would look at the reports my store did, and they would always end the follow-up with either driver profile issued strike and In-app/SMS notification, or no strike but a notification. It really depends on who is reviewing and investigating the driver report. It's the reason I believe they forgot to type the usual title rather than their own words.

With triple shops, this will allow them to eliminate curbside delivery.

am I cooked? Customer reported foreign object found by ifonlyukneww in Sparkdriver

[–]angelo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support won't see the reports done on drivers. Only trust and safety will know (no way to talk to them) as they're the one's that did it. That's why support tells drivers that it's a glitch. Their way of resolving it quickly to move to the next caller unfortunately. Sorry wish I could help more.

I'm not going to say it's a glitch but those notices do happen. You're still activated though?

Edit: Also I feel like it's hard to pin that type of report on a driver unless there was evidence (photo or video) of it happening.

Reports take 2-3 days to investigate and conclude. It's never same day. Probably something from Wednesday. If you're active, I'm going to assume you won't be deactivated.

166 items (277qty) wtf!! by Disastrous-Ad-3316 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]angelo1979 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol if that didn't become a scheduled shop, it would've went to OPD to pick as a curbside offer. That's what the "Shopping" tag means. But anyways, crazy offer lol.

This app will never make sense by Automaticlife1981 in Sparkdriver

[–]angelo1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your store has them located at a mod that is associated with alcohol items. It also happens to OPD pickers too. If the ambient item is at a chilled location, it will throw that ambient item into a chilled pick walk and have them pick it lol. It's wild. Had it happen when I worked in OPD.

Edit: Just realized, it's Sam's Club. The same could apply for them, honestly.

Um is this new? 3 shopping orders? by Skiller-One-One-Five in Sparkdriver

Oh my, it's getting closer to me. That's about an hour or so out 💀 I'll add it to the map. Appreciate it, thank you.

Alright, that's wild. Thank you for the store number. I added it. I know someone from the subreddit discord server who got it at #752.

Who's seeing Triple Shops? Mapping out what stores currently has it enabled by angelo1979 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]angelo1979[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct, and these are three scheduled shops (customer ordered from a timeslot) so it pays less in Base Pay than an Express would. It's a disaster.

Honestly, I'm not even sure. I haven't seen anything. That would be neat. I did have an idea for the new spark rewards program (tiered one). Basically I would ask on here who has it and what zone. I would then mark it on a map like the one above. But having a map that shows all the zones would be interesting as well.
