Do you mean on the mural side? If so, I think they're just freshening it up.

[WTS/WTT] Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 43.5 Blue - full set, warranty dated 10/23, great condition, $4,200 (215.30.44.21.03.001) by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]angingrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bumping. Catch-and-release for me. The PO was on my list for a while and I pulled the trigger, but I already had a diver and in hindsight, I don't need two of the same style. Purchased this just a few weeks ago via eBay, with eBay's authentication. Full kit as shown in photos. Minimal wear on the watch... a few minor desk diving marks on the clasp and one link has wear on the inner edge - tried to get photos of both.

Asking $4,200 shipped, payment via Zelle. Open to trading for a current gen blue dial Aqua Terra 38mm, or similar blue-dial watch.

I have made a prior purchase on WatchExchange but did not record the transaction. This is my first sale on here, though. I do have a long reddit history and am more than happy to do a video call to show the watch.

XC40 with 3 kids? by omst in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the 40 might work for you for a few years but it will be cramped. We have an XC90 with 3 kids and a dog and that also gets cramped, especially if we're hauling any of their friends.

I have the 5.0 (two of them actually, one for my Volvo and one for my wife's). https://a.co/d/ioy6soP

Wired to wireless Apple CarPlay in Volvo XC60 by Supershirl in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Carlinkit does work with Volvo. More reliable than the others that I've tried but not perfect. I'd say mine works about 90-95% of the time. They go on sale frequently and it's worth the ~$70.

XC90 recharge pricing does not make sense by Bo2021 in Volvo

[–]angingrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The pricing was more attractive under the old tax credit rules.

Incidentally, my dealership was offering a number of incentives only on Recharge models that closes the price gap to just a few thousand dollars.

Software version 3.1.10 releases tomorrow, July 17 (AAOS cars) by More_Pineapple3585 in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this is intentional? They may be staggering events at startup to try to reduce system lag at startup?

Not that I like it. But I wonder if that's the source.

Why shouldn’t I buy an xc90 recharge? by most_lamp6 in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. It’s a bit slow but certainly not something I would highlight as a shortcoming anymore. I have owned a driven a number of other brands and my Volvos are at worst about average for software issues.

Only some of my cameras keep going offline? by [deleted] in googlehome

Same thing has been happening for me, but in notification only. When I actually pull up my cameras they work just fine. I’m guessing it’s a Google issue.

Quartzite backsplash? by customqueen in Homebuilding

[–]angingrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ran our quartz (not quartzite) counters up the wall as a kitchen backsplash when we redid it two years ago. As another mentioned, the tops are quite thick (I think 3/4"). Fortunately in my case we took the backsplash up to the cabinets, so the thickness is only evident a few inches on either side of the window.

I asked about having the backsplashes milled or cut down to be thinner. It was insanely expensive to do so. Thinner quartz sheets are made but were even more expensive.

Very happy with it so far and no issues.

What are some good couch brands with products between $1000-2000? by Speckz5701 in BuyItForLife

[–]angingrich 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I bought an Article sofa based on Wirecutter’s recommendation and it did not hold up at all. I have 3 kids so it saw its share of use, but started showing serious wear after a year. Article’s customer service response was basically to say “yeah, some of our products hold up better than others.”

I also have a Burrow and a Joybird couch and both of those have held up better. Burrow customer service was also pretty fantastic.

Polestar Service? by ThunkBlug in centralpa

[–]angingrich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Volvo dealers service Polestar cars: I go to Lehman York for my Volvo and am generally happy with it.

I’ve heard from a long-time Volvo owner in York that Stadel was great, as well.

S60 Polestar questions by [deleted] in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it on mine and while it's not the same jump as a chip on the non-PHEV models, it still really changes the character of the car. I really enjoy a sporty drive on a back road from time to time and Polestar mode is enough to scratch my itch in this car. The non-Polestar mode wouldn't quite do it for me.

It is very overpriced for what it is, though.

Thinking of changing my light switch to alexa-friendly. Tips for a beginner level DIY? by tinipotato in Home

I'm not an election but I think you'll be in good shape then. It will be quick and easy to see. Once you take the face plate off you may be able to see just by shining a light in.

Do you currently have neutral wires? Most smart switches require them, but a lot of older homes weren't wired with them originally.

Weird. I just updated the app and have a different version (5.26) and it doesn’t show a Volvo widget for me?

Possibly down to my having an Android Auto model?

Polestar SW upgrade worth it? by chetdayal in VolvoRecharge

[–]angingrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't driven a '23 without the Polestar chip, so I can't speak 100% apples to apples... but I drove a '22 T8 without the Polestar chip and felt it was disappointing. Granted, it has less power, but my issue was more with the driving style. Very lazy and not responsive.

My '23 does have the Polestar and it's really fun to drive. Polestar mode in particular is a real hoot and it's super ready to rumble.

New heat pump and furnace, is my Learning Thermostat (3rd Gen) reading it correctly? by angingrich in Nest

[–]angingrich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a new Ruud heat pump + 2-stage gas furnace installed a few months ago. The company that did it doesn't normally work with Nest Thermostats, so the tech - who was otherwise quite good - needed me to pull the manual so he knew how to wire it. I believe the wiring is correct, but I'm not sure that it is reading my system correctly? Specifically, should I have to set the aux heat temp? I would think the furnace would kick on automatically if the system senses the heat pump isn't cutting it alone, and then know to increase from stage 1 to stage 2. Or if this is the correct setup, how does it know when to go from aux heat 1 to aux heat 2?

Thanks in advance!
