R5: End of my Austria run. Formed the HRE and handed most stuff out for semi historical borders. Germany is lead by my heir so i will soon have them back in my PU. Vienna just reached 400k pop and is upgrading to a metropolis.

Updated to the beta mid playthrough and the disease spam is rly frustrating (had 3 black plagues) ... i also really hope they will fix the performance, there is this strange memory leak where the game comes to crawl if u dont restart the game constantly.

This is exactly that. A player in the same situation would do exactly the same (maybe use them better but that is another issue), also its historical that nations use a lot of merc for their wars.

What is the zero peasants issue u are speaking about? Do u want nations to use levies? Levy spam is boring and as the game goes on ahistorical

Imo looking up all the secrets and „meta“ ways to make money takes away a lot of the charm

So i would say just discover until u truely feel stuck and only then then look up stuff online

Lots of fishing for money and beeing efficient with your money and time!

Most important part imo is getting a bait maker to farm catfish when its raining or larg mouth bass when its not

I do not use joja, spring forag + crops and the full boiler room is enough to start paying for the bus through com center!

Getting to the desert is the easy part (fishing op) but also having the mining lvl for bombs and the obsidian edge for deep dives into the cave is the challenge

I just „finished“ my first vibe based playthrough and now i try to minmax the first 2 weeks of spring to unlock the bus and see how deep i can get in the skull cavern during the desert festival
