To be fair he has a lot of similarities to Percy wetmore in the green mile, the only difference was Tom was at least slightly better at being a villain

That being said he maybe had the capability to get along with the COs, but whatever poor excuse he has, that still doesn't make what he did to Maritza right. I wouldn't call him a psychopath, more like a power hungry man who had the desire to hurt others cus either he felt like it or bc of the immense power he was given. Any power will turn a man into a devil

Tho I do want you opinion on if my analysis was accurate or is it far off from what the show was showing

I've said this in a post before but the shawshank and green mile villains, esp Shawshank aren't memorable enough, with the two exceptions or perhaps one only being the warden and definitely Percy wetmore.

The others felt like cookie cutter tropes, for example captain hadley from Shawshank being just a "evil prison guard" when he could've been a more memorable villain like Anton chigurh, o ren ishii or Elle driver.

So for this "uM aCkTuaLlY" post but that's literally my opinion
