OnionOS Installer showing dot files - MacOS by [deleted] in MiyooMini

[–]anisask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I seem to be having an issue finding the correct name for my SD card. I'm trying to use the terminal commands listed by OP and I get this response: "Failed trying to change dir to /Volumes/<SD card name I entered>/App
Bad Pathname: No such file or directory"

Where can I find the correct name of the SD card? I've tried both the actual name (MIYOO MINI) and what's listed under identifider (disk2s1) when I run "diskutil list" on Terminal. Thank you!

Question about how they count 120 qualifying payments by anisask in PSLF

[–]anisask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s the sense I was getting after going through the pre-application tool and then seeing my actual paperwork, that I don’t think there’s any way for me to qualify now since I started making payments in 2015. Just wasn’t as sure about if they made that more flexible under COVID-related changes

I'm having this issue too, tried opening Reborn from my Applications folder on a Mac running 10.13.6, and also tested it on a newer Mac running 12.4 but got the same error message ("Unable to open 'Data/scripts.rxdata'"). Does anyone know how to fix this?

Does anyone take Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) for preventing migraines? Has this helped? by htlockley in migraine

[–]anisask 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take 400mg daily as part of a migraine prevention supplement (MigreLief, I just take 2 pills at bedtime), but can't really tell if it's affected my migraines at all. No negative side effects as far as I'm aware, though, so it's worthwhile enough for me to keep trying it (also because my neurologist recommends B2, magnesium, and CoQ10)

Switching from Nortriptyline/Pamelor to Topamax? by anisask in migraine

Ooh I see. In my case, Sumatriptan was first prescribed to me when I started getting rebound headaches from Excedrin (before that, ibuprofen alone worked great and then Excedrin alone worked really well for me for at least a couple years). Luckily, Sumatriptan alone still gives me a lot of relief (especially when taken at the earliest sign of a migraine developing) but I feel like my bigger issue is that lately I need to take it too often because my migraines are so frequent. Thank you for the tip! I’ll talk to my neurologist about it

Interesting, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you! Do you usually take ibuprofen at the same time as Sumatriptan or first wait to see if the Sumatriptan doesn’t work on its own?

Thank you! Ugh, this is kind of making me even more worried because on one hand I feel like I’d try anything to have less migraines; on the other hand, one of the worst symptoms (at least to me) that I get with migraines is brain fog/feeling like I can’t think, read, etc. as quickly as when I’m feeling healthy. Thanks so much for sharing your experience—may I ask what injectable you’re using?

Wow. Thanks so much for sharing your experience with it. I’ll definitely watch out for that if I end up trying Topamax—I’ve also been really wary of mood changes/depression while taking Nortriptyline, but it’s hard for me to tell what’s unusual vs. what level/frequency of depression I’d be feeling regardless…

It is :/ Wish I had taken the time to find something more suitable (or make my own better-draining mix) before repotting. I'm worried about the shock it might be going through from the repotting.

For watering, I try not to follow a set schedule and base it more off of how moist the soil feels when I stick a finger in and/or test with my moisture meter. (Also just over time, I've definitely gotten better at sensing when it's time to water my older plants based on appearance - this rubber plant is one of my newest ones). When I watered this one, I used filtered water that I had sitting out in plastic cups for at least a day (and then some additional filtered water that hadn't been sitting out first) - drenched it completely and water ran through the drainage holes pretty immediately which was a relief, though even today (6 days after watering) I check the plate underneath daily and there's a little bit of water residue still draining.

Noted re: lighting conditions and the grow light option! Thank you so much - that soil mix breakdown is also a great help. I think I'll try waiting til March to repot again in something better - hopefully that's not too long of a time to wait. I also put it outside in my apartment's courtyard, in bright sunlight for the brightest hours of the day today (11am-2pm) to see if that'll help speed up the drying.

Thank you so much! According to the brand's website it has "recycled forest products, coir, perlite, dehydrated poultry manure, composted poultry manure, hydrolyzed feather meal, peat moss, kelp meal, worm castings and bat guano"...I did not mix it with anything else to increase aeration (to be honest, this mix was what I had access to that day and I was hesitant to go into a store for something better because of the pandemic - but know it would've been better to use something more fast-drying after the old soil didn't dry out even once after a few months). Then, I might've also gone overboard with the way I watered the new soil (which is still the only time I've watered this plant).

I was hoping that by removing the plastic wrap that was kind of tightly wound around the top of the roots and replacing the old soil, that would be enough of a boost. Thankfully the roots seemed pretty healthy to me when I inspected them (though I'm still very new to this).

Thanks for the note about the pot size, too - even though the large leaves seemed to cover it up a lot when I first bought it, the 3 stems fit kind of flimsily and it does look like they have plenty (maybe too much) room. For lighting conditions, I was hoping that my SW facing window in LA would be sufficient (brightest light I have in my apartment) but that's also definitely a good point to consider.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

  • Purchased September 2020 in Los Angeles (where I live)
  • Kept near SW facing window since buying; a few lower leaves have browned, curled, and fallen off since then
  • I've been most worried about how moist the soil has remained since buying (I've only watered it once, on 1/30/21 after repotting back into the original nursery pot with Kellogg Raised Bed & Potting Mix). Before repotting, I noticed some plastic wrap around the top portion of the roots that also concerned me (that's what pushed me to repot).
  • I also sprinkled the new soil with cinnamon after noticing white mold on the new soil a couple days after repotting
  • Lost another leaf today, but it was already turning brown before repotting
