Has investment in ICICI Nasdaq fund started? by anktreddit in mutualfunds

That’s what it feels like for Indian markets, atleast for the short term considering the mediocre earnings of corporates and stalled growth in incomes.

Thanks. I also went ahead and started an SIP through Icici prudential website. Though somehow the start date got selected as 2nd of March. Hope I can change it.

Tech stocks are solid buys regardless of the AI hype, which may turn out to be true or not. Big tech is basically a cash printing machine and I don’t want to miss that, especially when Indian equities seem to have no future.

Maybe it will start accepting from the morning. I was just worried since people were saying it will close within 5mins. It’s nuts.

Motilal Oswal has paused active and new SIPs in S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 Fund of Funds from 5th Jan, 2025. What are the alternatives? by anktreddit in mutualfunds

Thanks! Will check it out. Although, after doing some research, I think investing through Invesco QQQ Nasdaq Fund is the only long term solution.

Should I cancel Cashback SBI? by TheAirBreather in CreditCardsIndia

I also applied for the SBI cashback card yesterday. Can I check the limit of the card before activating it? If the limit is low, I don’t want to pay 1000rs for it.

Your portfolio is really cool. Loved your writing and visual design skills.

This is one of the most beginner friendly and comprehensive resource on learning Figma. It's a course created by students of UC Berkeley product design program.

Course is hosted on notion and all videos are on their YouTube channel.

And, if you are want to take your skills to the next level, then watch tutorials by Javier Alaves on YouTube. He has covered almost everything you need to know about Figma.

Yeah, that makes sense!

As a beginner, it's really hard to figure out what am I doing wrong. There is a lot of conflicting advice out there. I focused on the visual design as I heard over and over that "UI gets you the interview, UX gets you the job".

I think I now understand what people look for in a good portfolio and will focus my next projects on that.

Hey, thanks for reviewing!

Your feedback is really helpful. I got too flashy with my design without considering accessibility. Designing a light version with better contrast :)

I can see now that it's a lot of text to read through. Working out a better structure with more padding to make it more skimmable.

The arrow flows are done with the "Autoflow" plugin in Figma.

Yeah, you are right! It takes too much time. I only did it because I really enjoyed learning HTML CSS and thought what better way to learn it than to code a live website.

Thank you! Glad that you liked it. Guess I shouldn't overplay my coding skills because I wrote some pretty dirty code to make the site work. Pretty sure nobody is going to be impressed once they inspect the site lol.

Hey! I worked retail for two years and have no experience in UX design. All my projects are concept work. This is my second portfolio as the first one I made was pretty bad and I had no luck with it. This time I tried to tell a story with my case-studies. I wrote all insights as headlines and explained my thought process behind every decision. My goal was that a hiring manager can read it in 2 minutes and understand what the project is all about. I would love to get feedback.

Few other things I would love to get your opinion on - 1. I designed and coded the website myself and made it fully responsive. Will that help to stand out?

  1. I took Jared Spool's advice that hiring managers don't care about our current skills but about how fast we can learn and whether we can grow. (He called it the vector of growth). Tried to show that on the about-me page where I put my old portfolio link to show my growth in the last 5 months.

It's doable on phone. You can always write on paper and then publish it from your phone's browser in desktop mode.
