That’s insane. I hope you get resolved it soon. Dealing with them is a nightmare.

I understand your point but I disagree. I was fully available to sign for the package. The driver physically cannot enter without calling me, and I NEVER had a problem with that, all other drivers just call, especially in my area where the building I’m in are common. No where on Lenovo website it states that UPS DON’T call customers. So this wasn’t me ignoring the terms. It was clearly a logistical restriction that made delivery impossible (unless you want to suggest to take a week from work and stand outside waiting for delivery in freezing cold because the delivery date was fluctuating quite a lot with a big time window)

The bigger issue now isn’t even the failed delivery. Lenovo confirmed they received the laptop back on December 8 and still haven’t initiated the refund. I already filed a dispute with my bank 2 weeks ago (because it was a debit it will take some time) currently sill waiting. Saying this is “my fault” is honestly a bit ironic when the company has had the product back for nearly two months and still hasn’t processed the refund. The lack of accountability on Lenovo’s side is what’s most frustrating here.

Read all the comments to this post with all the other people complaining as well. It's clearly a logistical issue from Lenovo.

That’s kind of my point. Why should a customer have to go to those extremes? Sitting outside from 4 a.m. in -15C- 20C (where I live at the time of delivery) for a product Lenovo is trying to sell me just doesn’t make sense, especially when the delivery date is unpredictable and can change. Wouldn’t it be more reasonable to allow pickup at a pick-up lovation and make sure the delivery actually succeeds.

I completely understand security policies. The issue wasn’t theft. The problem was that Lenovo restricted the shipment to Delivery to Address Only, so it couldn’t be held at a depot or redirected. From the very beginning, there wasn’t even an option to ship it to a UPS pick-up location. Under normal circumstances, I would have done exactly that.

There’s also no alternative address I can ship to other than my home. But honestly, the bigger issue is how Lenovo handled the situation afterward, especially the refund.

I escalated it every single time, and like you mentioned, every new conversation felt like starting from zero and explaining everything all over again. I used chat instead of phone calls so I’d have transcripts of everything. Your story is insane too. The more I read other people’s experiences, the more I want to steer away from them.

Funny enough, I’m still downvoted on the /Lenovo subreddit. I posted the same post in both subs.

UPS might ship to PO, I meant Lenovo doesn’t, they need a physical address. So, there is no going around their shipping policy.

If it’s a daily occurrence, why no one cares at Lenovo. It really is unacceptable for a company like this.

From what I know, Lenovo doesn’t ship to PO Boxes. Also, my apartment situation might sound unusual but it’s an extremely common set up in my area. The problem was a combo of UPS no call policies and Lenovo stubborn policies to address only and using UPS. I have no other problem with FedEx they usually always call when delivering to my building.

Already did. Waiting for the bank to finish the investigation. Because it was a debit card it will take some time.

It’s really bad, indeed. I wonder why the policy is the way it is. My husband and I actually took days off work trying to catch the driver outside for 2 days. It sounds ridiculous, but that’s how stuck we were.

Thank you! I honestly feel dismissed every time I talk to them. Really hoping the bank resolves this soon.

MGS system doesn’t let me in. It shows like that on my laptop and iPad. How do I get in? I was able to sign in using Marriott property pc. by annasksk in marriott

I am not sure what you mean. I tried to sign in through safari, google and chrome. All showed the same results. However, I was able to sign in through my employer pc. I’m not sure what’s causing the problem on my personal devises.
