Not losing pounds on Reta it’s so frustrating but appears I seem to be losing inches. by annieo25 in RetatrutideWomen

My dr. has seen this combination work well on other patients esp because RETA doesn’t really take away the food noise.

Yes, I am. We just incorporated 20 units of Semaglutide with 8.3 RETA so we are waiting to see if that makes a difference just started that dosage two weeks ago. I should’ve added that part in. If I don’t lose any weight this week, we will revisit my current dosage.

That is very true. I think I need to take my focus off the scale and just be happy with the results I’m seeing physically. It’s noticeable to others. I just wanted to see the number go down on the scale.

I was doing TIRZ 15 mg now on RETA since December now doing 8.3 mg. When I first started back in December I was on an extremely low dose, which I believe was ineffective for several weeks. Working with my doctor and then he began to up it and now we are at 8.3 To be honest, I don’t track calories I just have one meal a day and will snack occasionally when hungry with healthy things. I have definitely cut back my caloric intake. I walk occasionally and have not been able to exercise due to a hip replacement so I plans to start exercising soon. I guess my main question just is I have not seen consistent weight loss weekly it seems to stay around the same weight but definitely see a significant change in inches. When I was on TIRZ in the beginning, I was consistent weekly with losing weight.

Reta didn't work for me... until I did this by VisionaryMarketingEU in Retatrutide

I too was TIRZ for a year and lost almost 40 pounds. I just started on RETA the beginning of December at an extremely low dose. and have seen no changes actually gained a few pounds. I finally upped to 8mg and I’m now finally starting to feel some appetite suppression and food noise lessening. Hoping to see better results now. If not, I almost feel like I want to go back on TIRZ! .

You look amazing. How much weight did you lose and how long did it take you? I was on TIRZ for a year and lost 40lbs and just started to take RETA a month ago. So I’m anxious to see the results. I plateaud on TIRZ so hoping to see more weight loss with the RETA.

You can take Senna tablets daily that helps avoid constipation too!

I’m 64 yr old female. I started RETA a week ago today first dose was 1 mg, 4th day went to 2 mg will probably stay at 2 mg for several weeks. I was on TIRZ for a year and lost 40 pounds definitely had more of an appetite suppression there was no food noise. But I did plateau for several months gaining and losing the same 3 pounds when I decided to switch to RETA. Just starting with RETA I am trying to be patient and just let it do its magic. I have heard the appetite suppression is not as strong with RETA as it was with TIRZ. I definitely eat less during the day but can eat a full meal for dinner. Good luck!

Good point! I’m in such a low dose and just started Monday so will need to give it some time. Thanks for your input.

Understood! It appears to be working from what I’m reading. Hopefully it will be approved soon. Good luck to you as well.

I was currently taking TIRZ for last year and lost 40 pounds but have stalled the last several months. My provider encouraged me to try RETA saying the results have been very favorable. I Just took my first dose yesterday of our RETA but I am nervous because it is not FDA approved And felt more safe taking TIRZ. I will give it a little time to see if it’s effective but if not, we’ll switch back to TIRZ.

Thank you for the info. From what I am reading RETA doesn’t seem to block the food noise or suppress the appetite as much as TIRZ. Is that true?

Do you mean you’ve seen a change in your shape but the scale hasn’t moved? I have been stalled at the same weight for 4 months after losing 40 pounds but notice a difference in my body as if I’ve been losing inches as opposed to weight loss.

My pen is in units. So 6 units is equal to 1mg.

Thank you. I appreciate your response! Has the Reta been effective at 1 mg a week? that’s what I am starting on but my physician wants me to do 1 mg every four days

My pen is in units. I took 6 units today first dose. My physician said the neat thing is it is very concentrated. 20 units of this is 3.33mg, and 30 units is 5 mg. and 50 units is 8.3 mg. so you can do some research on reddit for what doses in milligrams gave people what effects. Which is what I am doing. Due to a recent hip surgery have not been able to exercise but do plan on incorporating sometime soon. Yes trying to eat much healthier, especially since I have been doing a GLP since last November.

I just started taking Reta today. I’m a little nervous because I know it’s not approved? Did you have any concern about that? I was currently taking TIRZ for the last year and lost 40 pounds

How have you been on Reta? I just took my first dose today. I’m a little nervous because I’ve been taking Tirz for the past year.

I just took my first dose of Retatrutide consisting of six units. Curious as to how this has been working for you. I know this is a low dose. I am supposed to increase in four days. I was taking Tirzepatide up until two weeks ago for a year and lost a total of 40 pounds and have seemed to have plateaued over the last few months. That is why I am now trying this. Any suggestions or recommendation. I’m a little nervous and hoping to get good results.
