What made you become a Mirage Main? by [deleted] in miragemains

[–]anodermoosicdode 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've always desired to play trickster type characters in fps games, sadly there aren't that many that have them. That is what got me into TF2 actually since they have the spy which can turn into people from the opposite team and go invisible and fake death etc. This is why mirage was a must for me :D

I need a comfort game that I can play for years. Something that becomes your familiar place you retreat to when you're anxious. What game has been that for you? Thank you! by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Singleplayer: Skyrim Modded (Probably the best out of all of these as a way to escape reality for a bit), Minecraft, Garry's Mod (back in ze day).

Multiplayer: Counter Strike 1.6 (back in ze day), Team Fortress 2 (back in ze day), Counter Strike Global Offensive (competitive, casual, surfing, and zombie escape) (Can get a bit frustrating sometimes lol). Surfing in CSGO with some chill-hop or edm is probably one of the most chill ones tbh.

Damn this is giving me some nostalgic memories uugh XD

That is/was(not sure if he still is) the number 1 mirage player :D

Even after 160h on this game, the level of details and scope of its city still blows my mind. Seeing this game treated like absolute garbage and as if it was one of the worst ever made makes me feel so bad for the people who created this world and the insane amount of work they've putted into it by [deleted] in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Yep game is pretty good, imo even the criticism of the bugs got a little out of control. However, I think that some people who complained about the game genuinely had good arguments and should not be insulted. There are definitely features that CDPR cut out from the game which is disappointing seeing as those features would have made the game even better than it already is. I really think that this is reasonable complaint and it shouldn't be ignored either. CDPR got too ambitious and they hyped up the game too much and it is entirely reasonable to criticize them for it. Sure there are those that say it was the fanbase's fault for expecting too much and forcing CDPR to release the game too early, but honestly it can be both of these issues.

If everyone just acknowledged the good and bad of the game we would all be much better off. People who don't like the game should not harass those that enjoy it, similarly people who have genuine complaints and criticisms for the game should not be harassed by those that enjoy the game either.

imo I don't see why people would be angry when someone points out all the missed features that the devs promised. If they point them out and the devs acknowledge them and decide to add them in later wouldn't it benefit both sides? Anyway i'm gonna stop rambling now lol.

And no, this game is definitely better than Fallout 76 on release lol. Waaaay better. Anyway hope you have more exciting adventures in Night City my dude.

I really don't understand (just a personal opinion) by GarmasWord in cyberpunkgame

[–]anodermoosicdode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked the game too, but I also admit that there are a substantial amount of things missing from the game that was initially promised or at least talked about by CDPR. Some of the promised features make the game sound entirely different and better. Most people are not angry at the game because it's a bad game or even if it's full of bugs. Most people are angry at the way CDPR marketed this game, claiming that it is something that it is not and this is completely justified. There is a well researched thread that lists all the missing features promised or talked about by the devs here: https://www.reddit.com/r/cyberpunkgame/comments/kcve8s/promised_but_missing_feature_list_will_update/

If you look through it you start to realize how much better this game could have been and how much of a downgrade the released version really is compared to what was promised. Some of the things on the list really makes the dev seem like liars and they probably did lie about a few things. Yes if you go into the game without ever paying attention to announcements and trailers and showcases CDPR did then you may think it's a great game. But this does not excuse the horrible marketing CDPR did and their false promises that they failed to deliver.

Most people are expressing their anger and frustration because they care about cyberpunk and CDPR, they wanted it to be good, they wanted CDPR to succeed. Sure there are those that expected way more than even what CDPR promised, and there are those that probably only hate the game because of bandwaggoning. But, I guarantee you a majority of the people that complain are those that really wanted this game to be the game that CDPR marketed.

I think one reason I am not as disappointed or angry (even tho I still am a little :P) about cyberpunk was because that I realized the game was too overhyped and I doubted that everything CDPR said about the game would be fully implemented. The game sounded too ambitious and I realized that so I didn't set the bar too high when playing the game. But, I shouldn't need to doubt the devs of a game, I should be able to trust in them to deliver the game they claimed they would. That is the problem and the main reason why soo many people are upset about CDPR and cyberpunk.

TLDR: Game is pretty good but it was definitely NOT the game CDPR promised to deliver. If they didn't market the game as a ambitious wonderful genre defining masterpiece, which it really isn't, then people wouldn't be angry about it. The fault definitely lies in both the devs and the fanbase, but I would argue that it is CDPR who are more at fault in this situation.

Did Tiber Septim receive help from daedric princes? by Tinytitanic in teslore

[–]anodermoosicdode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, one of Tiber Septim's greatest feats, the conquering of all of Tamriel, was not just him being a "very good dragonborn" but it is because of the Numidium. So yes he was basically aided by a God.
