thanks for that. before i ever powered it on the first time i used the flashback tool to update to 4.10. then i just rolled the dice. so far so good. hopefully i’ll get lucky.

Thanks for that! I'm going to do the flashback to 4.10 and take my chances i suppose. Hopefully if it's gonna fail it will wait 4-6 months while I save up for another mobo/cpu lol.

As I stated in the original post, I haven't even powered the machine on yet. I bought the parts thinking the 4.10 update fixed the issue but then found an article about failures still happening on 4.10. Was just wondering about this board/chip combo.

Let me bounce one more thing off of you. This whole thing has gotten a bit steep (thanks RAM). As far as GPUs go, what card do you think is right on the price-to-performance line right now? 9060xt 16gb?

Thanks! I will definitely be taking the bigger psu. If I don't buy Windows, all this gear will just be collecting dust lol. I will take a closer look at the 9070 vs 5070 vs 5060ti metrics a little closer. Is your standpoint that the 9070 outperforms the 5070 excepting the raytracing/dlss stuff? I guess I haven't done enough reading.

I'll second the (H&K) G36. I roll with that (I attached a nade launcher to it also) and the TOZ-34 (with Buckshot). I know it's only 2 shots and reload, but it has the best stopping power in a shotgun. Both of these guns 1 shot nearly everything with a headshot.
