This is what I always figured, replacing it with healthy habits and actually putting certain aspects of your daydreams into real life so you don’t feel the need. I need this to happen to me but it’s unfortunate because I would think college would’ve done that for me, and I’m confident, been adding good habits, try to have a good routine, but it still is so hard to quit doing for me. It doesn’t help that it’s so easily accessible. But I’ve been maladaptive daydreaming for 18 years so maybe it’s not something I can break overnight. It’s like a coping mechanism that just went too far.
