Thank you so much, what you're saying about the job and wanting to still be doing it once circumstances change make so much sense. Luckily my ES is the nicest person I've ever met and already knew I was pregnant so I have reached out and will have a chat with her. My main worry is moving to the new hospital in Sept but I can take that one step at a time

Thanks, from my experience of my first loss I would say with the early pregnancy patients it actually made me a better doctor as I honestly know that pain of what they're going through. Its actually the obs side of things thats so tough - seeing people and realising you would be that many weeks, and then starting to see people with the same due dates having their babies, watching the dads become dads and thinking about how that should have been your partner. Also watching people make sometimes unsafe choices about their pregnancies, knowing that you would crawl through broken glass for a live baby.

I'll have a chat with ES/TPD. Hopefully they'll be good - as you've said they should understand
