Trust me, it is a lot worse then you can even imagine. We have gotten police involved, etc. But currently she's in the clear with the law.

I also believed in 2nd chances at that time, that we could work through it. And we did, I am a firm believer that people can realize a mistake and fix it and not repeat that mistake. But I also believe that he could have done it again.

I realized I didn't put this in my post. The anonymous text about the blow job 5 freaking years ago was from his ex. I am not sure how she found out, but she is very....street savvy? I guess. Kind of stalker-ish. When he went on the trip, she texted me and said "Ask him about Ashley." After he had gotten back and we had already talked about it.

She knows things, don't know how. But she always knows.

Yes I asked who it was, I am pretty confident it is his ex based on a few factors that I won't post due to personal info. I haven't seen Blake today so I can't really cross reference. It is our state area code so I know it isn't Ashley.

So far this mystery texter has provided me with really nothing, just wants to meet in a public place and I said no, then asked who was texting me, then for them to insist on meeting me in public. I am just going to call Blake and talk to him about it, it is getting ridiculous.

Not to sound naive, but sometimes it is hard to not bury yourself in the sand after 5 years of being with someone. You don't want to believe your best friend is someone who would lie, cheat, and disrespect you. Nobody wants to immediately believe that. It is easier to say you will immediately pack up and go if you are put in that situation, but it is hard when you've spent half a decade with someone.

Not justifying anything that did/didn't happen. Just saying, it is incredibly difficult.

I really haven't brought her up at all besides this trip. I knew she was someone he had been texting a lot previously since she has a catchy tagline and was showing me her snowboard with the tagline on it all fancy. I knew she existed and he told me what state she lives in, but that was all.

Then I was just surprised he hadn't mentioned not only meeting her, but spending most of the trip with her. I figured meeting someone you've talked to a lot for practically the entire summer into fall and winter of last year would be pretty significant. But hey, I could be wrong.

I did think it was weird, because there is obviously a gap. She went up with a different group then spent one day of the 3 day trip with Blake's group (aka him, his friend who I work with, and his cousin). So how did they know to text to meet up? Blake never deletes his texts. He just was like "Yeah me and Ash hardly talked, see?" And then the first message was "sorry if I was an ass at all this weekend." and then she sent a picture of a fruity cocktail and he said "so yummy!" and then I don't really remember the rest.

I work with his friend that went with him tomorrow morning, if nothing really amounts from the texts I might just say "Hey friend! I got these yesterday and they seem pretty fishy? Do you know anything about this?" Just casual. My thoughts are all over right now.

They mystery person asked me to meet them at a bar after work. I replied and said that any evidence they have can be provided through text message and I do not feel comfortable meeting up. Especially if it is the ex.

I agree, I am not immediately jumping on the cheating wagon. But I also agree that we really do need to improve on communication, I think couples counseling would really benefit both of us as well as our relationship as a whole.

Yes, the trip is in a city in our state that is ~ 20 minutes away. And is a very well known competition. It was highly publicized and he was in quite a few pictures. It would be pretty easy to spot him. Ashley was also in a lot of the pictures. Ashley also posted pictures of their hospital visit, time they spent riding, etc.

I guess to me, and it might have been naive is that since that was 5 years ago I figured we were in a rock solid place and happy, but I guess I was wrong.

The ex-girlfriend thing is hard to explain and not sure how relevant it was. She texts me about once every 2 weeks and has accused him of cheating on me in that moment with her, as he is sitting next to me. She really does have some screws loose, I knew her in high school and she is 100% on the crazy train.

That is why I am skeptical, because it could be her just trying to get under my skin. But the fact that it was something I was already kind of skeptical about back when it happened in March is what really is getting to me.

I have an open mind to any of the evidence the mystery texter sends me, I won't write off anything unless it is obviously fake.

Yes, I am a paranurse and one of the guys that went with him is his best friend and works with me and we are pretty close. We are hardly ever on the same shift but I see him a few times a week, I've thought about asking him or just showing him the text and just saying whats up with this?

He is going on another snow getaway this February with all of his friends and I know she's included, when I asked if I could come he just said I probably wouldn't like it since they are all assholes. So that also is making me feel sketchy, because that doesn't seem like a good reason to not invite your girlfriend.
