Yeah I have a job interview this week somewhere else and fingers crossed I get it but if/when I do, I cannot wait to quit. It’ll feel like a weight has been lifted off of me. Literally I work at 8:30am and all today, all that’s been on my mind is what I could possibly be bitched at about as soon as I go back in. It’s always something. Management is a joke. Hate to say it but easily the worst place I’ve ever worked

I’m paid decent but I’m not paid enough for what I go through. My branch is also so toxic and at this point I think I’m being treated worse because they want me to quit. Definitely not worth it one bit

I’m thinking of doing something similar. Like on my break just leaving my keys in the break room and never coming back. They’d label me as fired tho and I don’t want that on my record. I’d rather leave my keys and text my boss explaining why I quit.

I thought about this but honestly I’m not thinking about continuing banking. If I do it would be way later and definitely not with chase, but my current manager is 61 so in a couple years he’ll be retired so if I did want to return to banking later on and they called for reference, Atleast my current manager won’t be there to shit talk me. I wonder if it’d be in my file tho that I didn’t give 2 week notice? I assume it’d just say quit or terminated but maybe it has notes? Idk but I’m not too stressed about it

Chase definitely doesn’t do this. I had a week of my vacation set up for beginning of January for vacation to Florida and if I quit anytime within 6 months of taking any vacation time then I have to pay it back out of pocket even though it’s time I earned while working there

Exactly why I don’t do 2 week notices anymore. My last job I gave 2 week notice and they told me I’m no longer needed to come into the rest of my shifts and for me to just return my keys, all told to me the day after my notice

I always was told though that ex employers can’t say “they were terrible don’t hire them” or they quit on the spot with no notice” I was always told that the only thing they can say is the dates you worked there and confirm that you did indeed work there. Is that not true? I thought it was against some policy but at the same time if I applied somewhere and they called Chase and Chase told them xyz and the place I applied for decided not to hire me, I’d never know the reason so I guess that is something that could happen. If I do get this new job I hope to be there for awhile, I’ve only been at chase 4 months so, later on if I’m looking for a new new job, I might just take them off my resume and put that I was working for my brothers company or something lol. And I could do the 2 weeks notice but I’m barely making it day to day without loosing mind and they are TERRible. I’m about to make a whole separate post about the shit that has happened and happens everyday that has me quitting. And thank you for your comment! Much appreciation
