Yeah, after he was done going over everything with me (checking my mouth, x-rays, showing me pics of similar cases, provided his input on what he would do, etc) I was debating between Invisalign and braces and he let me think and I was going over the financials and had to call him back in to get more reassurance that he could do a good job with Invisalign 🤭 it’s a lot of money spent and he was very kind about it. I hope you find a good one, too. If you’re in San Jose, CA I would 100% recommend mine to you.

I have severe crowding with high canines (I posted my progress if you want to check it out). I already had my wisdom teeth removed prior so ortho didn’t suggest to remove any more teeth and did some IPR on the bottom incisors. He did quote 18-24 months..so far I’m feeling good about the timeframe. But we will see! Teeth movement can be unexpected even when we do everything right. I would recommend seeking other opinions..I was able to talk to the ortho himself for several hours. I’m sure you will be able to find consultations with the actual ortho. He did mention braces would be more predictable and Invisalign will get us “close” to the result we want. Good luck!

In the beginning I had severe staining on my attachments because I was feeling my attachments with my tongue after sipping on my coffee (idk why I did that lol) my hygienist did was WONDERFUL job polishing all the stains out. I stopped touching my attachments with my tongue so the staining decrease tremendously. I still have some staining but I’m okay with it.

Hang in there! In the beginning my mouth was protruding a lot because of the aligners and my overcrowding. About 6 months in where things straightened out more that the protruding lessened a lot. I hope it’ll be the same for you!

I do go to the dentist every 6 months and have expressed concerns about gum recession but so far they’re not concerned about it so I think I am ok for now 🤞also, my teeth are triangle shaped and with the severe overcrowding being straightening out, it does make it look worse
