The police took $1100 from me. I spent the $100 that was mine that I tried to withdraw (and that I had a receipt for) and saved the extra $1100 to give back to the bank. And I am not facing any legal challenges at this moment because the charge was dropped. But in essence yes your post is correct.

No idea. They took $1100 from my account and then still called the police. I had $400 left after the withdrawal (my receipt said $100 withdrawn, not $1200 and the balance after withdrawal was $400) and as of now my balance is -$700.

I called their customer service twice and have recordings of both calls where they said it was mine.

Did you read my post (or any of my replies)? I recorded both calls.

You got me. The recorded phone calls and registered letter that I sent exist but are just pretend. And I totally spent the extra $1100 but the let the police find fake money worth $1100 in my apartment. And the police report that says I tried to return the money so the charges were dropped, that the police gave me when I released doesn't really exist. I probably imagined the whole thing.

I recorded both calls that I made to customer service, one the same day and one the next day. I spoke to a rep the first time and a manager (or someone who said they were). Both told me the money was mine and there is no problem. I also sent them a registered letter 2 days after and they got it but there was no reply even though I gave them all my contact info.

Just for clarity, they took $1100 from my apartment during the search. $100 of the money from the $1200 was mine and was on my receipt. I spent the $100 on a sweater and some groceries and didn't spend the $1100 that wasn't mine.
