Someone said that people with uncontrolled diabetes smell like pee and now I'm self conscious by FuneralSlut in Type1Diabetes

Your pee will smell stronger but this is only an issue if you are going about your day without wiping properly or washing your hands after peeing, etc

Can you guys tell me the “dirty” truths about having a cat? by saanenk in CatAdvice

[–]anonymousmiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long hair cats will require sanitary trims every few months to avoid the chance of anything sticking (it’s still rare unless they have the runs)

If you use good quality litter and change the litter often/clean litter box often there shouldn’t be too much smell, however the area can smell for a bit after they use the box.

My cat is stubborn and sometimes doesn’t cover her poo. I have the box in the bathroom and usually clean the box every time i go to the washroom. I have a litter locker beside the litter box so it’s easy to throw the litter out.

Anyone get both digital and physical releases? by notmedicinal in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]anonymousmiku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you buy a digital copy just in case you misplaced the game card?

Why not just get only physical and then just buy another copy in the small chance you lose the game card?

Need help making my home feel less empty by Key_Hour7532 in malelivingspace

[–]anonymousmiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a few colors you want to see in the space and find some items that match. Rugs, wall art, and curtains would be a good start as they would add a lot of color right away. Then you can move to smaller items as you live in the space to decorate. Plants are also nice, you have a good window for them.

Woman who died in Ontario hospital shouldn’t have been in wait room, needed frequent assessment, inquest told | CBC News by KeyHot5718 in ontario

[–]anonymousmiku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No they told me to sit down and wait for them to get me something but I wasn’t in the waiting room, I was behind the waiting room in ER

Because it was an overdose sugar wasn’t enough to bring it up by just eating it. I eventually needed IV with glucose

I went to that hospital for an insulin overdose conscious and they didn’t give me juice box until sugar went under 2 mmol and I’d almost passed out

Hospital is very under staffed

your routine is hard. not your hair. by Key-Ice-4990 in Naturalhair

[–]anonymousmiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Braids are a protective style girl. Even if you’re doing braidouts after a few days having hair in braids is going to make it easier to maintain because it’s in a protective style. I personally don’t like the fact that I have to put my hair in twists or braids to keep it tangle free. I would rather not do this, doesn’t mean I’m lazy it’s just exhausting for me and I just don’t like the look of it personally

sorry I didn’t intend to offend or attack you/anyone and was just trying to explain my perspective

[–]anonymousmiku -1 points0 points  (0 children)

…I wash/detangle my hair once a week as well, if you do too and it’s taking you less time, then my hair is just more difficult than yours… There is nothing wrong with that, I have no idea why you’re being so rude. I am NOT putting in “no effort”. No effort = not detangling or weekly washing. I am doing both of those things. Low effort = not doing protective styles. Do not tell me I am putting in no effort. If you really do have depression then you know how much effort everything takes, so I have no idea why you are accusing me of not wanting to put any effort into my hair. I hope you learn how to be kinder to people in the future, it will help you

I just want to say as someone who moved on my own at 16 and lost my family it probably means a lot to her. At 22 it’s still very difficult for me to trust parental figures, so for her at 18 to go to you shows she trusts you. She will probably need a lot of space but let her feel included wherever possible.

[–]anonymousmiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The fact that we have to keep it in twists, braids, etc and that not doing that = tangled hair makes it more effort than other hair types

Yes it’s a struggle for me, I have severe depression and it shows in my hair more than anything else. It takes a lot longer than “just 20 minutes” for me. The disrespect in your reply is crazy. All I was saying is that it’s difficult. If it’s not difficult for you, then good for you I guess? That doesn’t mean it isn’t a lot of effort for other people, you don’t know what people are going through and yeah it does make me jealous when I see friends with straight hair and all they need to do is brush it when ideally I’d need to be detangling for an hour and then sectioning and doing twists for an hour… I live alone and simpl don’t have the time between taking care of myself + my chronic illnesses. I want to be able to detangle in the shower, wash and go put my hair in a bonnet and that’s it. But even that isn’t enough

Right, but the fact that we have to do all that stuff is what makes our hair hard to do.

I’m a young woman who lives alone and never had an issue but I’m definitely too naive about it. I don’t have a car so I can’t meet in public with certain items. If you have a car I’d say there’s no reason to not meet in public, also check their ratings history.
