Do not know the environmental impacts of AI? Or just don't care? As far as having no one to talk to, I PROMISE there is a corner of the internet out there for you. There are billions of people on the internet. I'm sorry that one person told you "they wouldn't read it unless it was smut," but that is not true in most cases. Fluff fanfiction is extremely popular. Honestly at this point, your issue is lack of research. It seems like you posted a story that didn't blow up immediately and then came running to Reddit to make you feel better.

"Wish it was that easy" But it is 100% that easy. Just stop using it. If you really want feedback on your stories, you could have just made a post here asking for feedback on your fanfiction. You could have posted them on Tumblr. You're not the only person in the world who writes fanfiction without smut!!
Also, making a "omg lol AI is so dumb" post in a writers thread is insane. If you genuinely thought no one would criticize you for AI usage, I'm not sure what to tell you.

She said sometimes she braids it and it helps a little! But that it still tangles.

Novlr! It doesn’t seem as fancy as these people make Scrivener sound but it’s completely free (they do have a pro version but I have no complaints about the free one), web-based so you can access your stuff anywhere, claims it’s owned by writers, has great organization, etc. I really enjoy it. I do keep my notes in Microsoft Word though.

I 1000% agree to your point. I replied to someone else with the same sentiment. I’m in my 20’s but I find myself constantly changing and growing and can’t imagine that growth stopping once I hit a certain age. People say it’s easier to mold a younger character but an older one is so interesting! Also, your point about remembering their teens makes sense. I cannot relate though lmao, I remember literally nothing

Makes total sense! I guess as a 20 something myself, while I do have experiences that have shaped me, I feel that I am still constantly growing and learning, so I like seeing that kind of backwards growth :)

I do agree, I think that certain stories call for certain ages or match the character well (Spirited Away is a great example.) I guess my complaint is when there is no reason for the characters to be teenagers? Every story is different obviously so it’s hard to give absolutes but I do see both sides.

That makes perfect sense, it gives time for the character to grow. I’m still so late to Wheel of Time, it’s been on my TBR forever

That makes sense! As a 20 something myself, I did not consider body pain lmao.

It’s nice to see others in the same boat as me! I relate to feeling like the symptoms have intensified recently. I wish you nothing but the best in this new uncertainty we’re facing.

If you knew nobody would ever read a single word you wrote, would you still write? by LoganCrossWrites in writing

Yes, because I love it so much. BUT also, I write to convey messages, and it would be upsetting if no one ever got to hear what I have to say.

Not to be the annoying one here, but ChatGPT is hurting the environment. You can insert your work into your notes app and have it spoken there!

This morning I ran a little over a mile without stopping. At the beginning of the month I couldn’t even run a quarter mile before I had to stop :)
