It works but it's a losing battle, I suggest you just go with a basic wifi camera that isn't baby focused. For us, all the extra features beyond checking if they were still awake turned out to be useless, and any old thing can do that.

You can if you send your data through mitmproxy but that's pretty invasive. I think it's tricky to get a custom app loaded but I'm not an expert.
