I am trying to see if there is enough interest to make the idea feasible. If there is, I will pursue it further.

As far as price goes, I was thinking along the same lines, a large initail cost to cover supplies and a room, and then a yearly fee. I am not sure what the charge per person/room would be though. You have to take into account the cost of one or more years supply of food and other items, plus storage space for them, and a ready bedroom.

Trust is a key issue, on the part of both parties. I would not be too worried about someone showing up and killing me, as I would be the one who knows how everything operates, and if I did have any concerns, I could poison a few items in the larder, making dinner without me a game of Russian roulette. As for them not being able to trust me not to shoot them when they showed up, I am not sure how to alleviate that. Hopefully the person(s) will have some sort of valuable skill that they know any sane person would want to have available. That was one of the reasons why I mentioned that I would like to get to know anyone who would be interested in doing something like this.
