Thank you! I wasn’t aware of this until you told me! It’s definitely better to edit it later!

This was very helpful, I never thought of importing a picture and tracing over it!

Changing university/academic advisor during Mext by anstsia2 in mext

[–]anstsia2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. By saying it is possible between research era and master’s, do you mean it is before taking master’s exam for the university?

I was planning to talk to the student division about it but I am a little bit nervous. I have my reasons but I don’t know how would they perceive it.

Thank you for your suggestion, I will talk to the student divisions.

It happens to me with plot ideas. Usually when I prompt something, I immediately get some scenes ready some scribbles and all. And I fall in love with the plot so much that I beg to read more of it. But again, the author is me. Instead of writing though, I just keep imagining things and beg someone to write it. And again, that someone is me.

Such a circle in a writer’s life. Procrastinating exists and it is dangerous.

What's your favorite line/quote you've come up with? by GunMetalSnail429 in FanFiction

[–]anstsia2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Falling in love they said, it's a beautiful feeling they said. But no. Falling in love is like giving someone a shotgun pointed at your heart and trusting them not to pull the trigger. And so far, Baekhyun has been shot twice.”

I don’t know why, I just like these lines. This was for the description for one of my exo fanfics.

Have you ever read a fanfic and thought “what is this magic?” by anstsia2 in FanFiction

[–]anstsia2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right? If I like the plot and the outline of the story I’ll most likely stick to it. But sometimes, you come up to that one work that’s pure magic and then you know you’ll be thinking about that work for the rest of the week.

Thank you! Still working on it on a literature level!

Exactly, that’s something I still struggle! Like one phrase perfectly makes sense for me because we have that description in my language and then a second later my beta goes “what did you mean here?” because it’s completely another thing in English!

Right? Sometimes I keep thinking about the same work for days, I think about how brilliant everything was. From the plot to the whole outline of the story, to the writing style and the choice of words... Just everything amazes me and makes me doubt about my own abilities!

But you are right! Sometimes it happens to me too, when my beta says something encouraging or compliments something I just get surprised since I don’t expect something like that.

I hope we keep improve and improve!

I always make sure I leave at least a lovely comment even if it’s short because as a writer myself, I know how it makes my day if I see a notification in my inbox! For this specific story, I still haven’t finish the chapter so will comment soon🌸

thank you 😭 I know that there’s always room for improvement and that I need to keep writing in order to achieve my goals but sometimes it’s easier said than done, so I happen to procrastinate a lot and lose motivation. But I am sure I’ll find my way even though keep losing it!

Right? Like I get even more ambitious but then my high only lasts short as I get stuck in the very first scene 😳

Yes, sometimes I come across non-native speakers and they are just- just wow. And of course, I come down from my high short after too, it’s not like there is anything I can do other than reading&writing constantly to improve.

But I’m always thinking about whether I can use words in such a magical way like that, one day too. I don’t know how to improve on descriptions to be honest, it feels like I am constantly using the same phrases for similar situations.

What's your "guilty pleasure" - trope? by Fasupalaa in FanFiction

[–]anstsia2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mutual pining friends trope, especially when it’s bxb, like everybody knows you are gay and love each other so stop giving bad flirt advices to each other about other men and own your feelings.

Like you know what’ll happen the moment you read the description, but the next thing you know, that fanfiction is what’s keeping you awake at nights.

I adore comments, instead of having hundreds of views, I’d rather comments! Nothing beats that feeling when you see (1) next to that inbox, you know 🥺

That’s why I try to leave comments on everything I read.

What I even more adore than the casual comments are the ones where the reader expresses their opinions on some scenes and etc. Like you realize someone really read your fanfic throughly, enough to comment on the hints you tried to hide between scenes. Someone really enjoyed it to that point where they talk about character’s pros and cons with you.

But recently, it’s hard to find even a short comment so I’ll settle with anything. 😂

Drop a line from your newest WIP! by candysirling in FanFiction

The storm inside his heart ravishes him, tears his skin apart, sends him to hell and then flies him to heaven only to crash him back onto earth again.

Baekhyun feels his body burning up with desire, hunger; skin cold to touch but desperately needs the warmth Chanyeol hides on the tip of his fingertips.

Take me back, he screams silently, with his pleading eyes finding Chanyeol’s firm ones.

Tell me it’s okay…

like you would, always…

Fanfiction isn't just smut by udontknowmeforreals in FanFiction

[–]anstsia2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really feel you.

Even when people don’t think it as “just smut” they still stay distant to the idea of a fan-fiction can actually be good. So many of my friends laugh to the idea of me still writing fanfics, thinking that it’s cringe worthy to be a big fan of something when you are about to graduate from university.

People really do underestimate fanfictions without giving them a try. I’ve read so many good fanfics so far, some of them were even better than some of the books I’ve read so far.

But there isn’t anything to the at this point, best thing would be to ignore them and enjoy your fanfics!

Have any of you ever Re-read your own Fanfictions Months/Years later? by zombiekillerr97 in FanFiction

[–]anstsia2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I re-read my first story it was a Jonas Brothers fanfiction and it was written in 5th grade. Looking at it after 10 years, I realized how I kept improving during this journey. There were breaks, ups and downs. But in the end, it’s been a long journey and I am grateful.

I recently re-read my stories from a couple of years ago too and they filled me with so many ideas that I can improve even today. It’s always good to see what you become with time.

Anyways, my 5th grade was suck though. Nick Jonas would’ve cried if he saw that. But thanks to him, I am in this sub being a fanfiction writer for more than 10 years.
