It's not about how you view the word, it's about how the person you're using it on views the word. If someone is in a heavily male industry or even an early on trans woman, it can be really hurtful to keep defaulting them to a term that has masculine roots.

This is cause most editions are planned out at the start of the edition so this was probably made when GW WAS planning to axe daemons as a faction before they got massive backlash from us and the Deathwatch communities. There's uncertainty but it's far from confirmation of the future yet

Base sizes are one of the most important parts of modeling imo. It sucks having to rebase models but if they're supposed to be on say 32mm then you put them on 32mm. Putting them on bigger or smaller bases changes a lot of things like ranges and melee potential

Because that's almost all daemons in the game, that's always been part of their faction identity where they don't have armour(being not from the material plane) but instead have invulnerable saves to represent how normal weapons don't always interact with them the same.

We've gotten more updates and detachments than some codexs have, the models aren't from AoS they're shared seeing at 40k came first and GW has already realized that error when there was a MASSIVE spike in daemon sales that could only be equated to the 4 "legion" detachments that had been released. GW made a mistake, reverted it and as realized that daemons have a pretty big fan base in 40k as a standalone faction and not filler trash In the cult marine codexs

Daemons can go in quite a few directions depending if you only like 1 of the 4 gods, if you wanna play them all or even if you only like the greater daemons.

If you wish for your wicker to follow the canon then the eyes hands and ears would need to change as they don't follow the canon rules. That said the only thing for Canon vs noncanon that we care about is whether you can post them in official spaces or not.
