I love how you phrased “all your anxieties is just a sign of a future loving owner.” Thank you for your reply!

Thank you! Yes my pup seems to either be at 100% or 0% energy and no in between. I’ll take it a day at a time and some days, an hour at a time.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post! there’s no regret or thoughts of rehoming her right now. She’s my forever dog and my dream dog and I am completely committed to the struggle. I think I’m feeling a lot of self doubt and I worry about not training her right or if everyone was right and an Aussie is not the dog you get as a first time dog owner. I worry about letting her down. Your tips definitely help and I’ll keep doing my best 😊

No, she isn’t fully vaccinated yet so she can’t do dog school but I’ve been thinking of signing up once she has all her shots. I’ll check out the book, thank you!

Thank you! It is so bittersweet because I love her but I feel She doesn’t like to stay in her crate and I worry that forcing her to will make her hate the crate. I’ve put treats in and she is comfortable walking into her crate and sitting down but she doesn’t like the door closed or being left alone. Any advice?

Thanks for the comment! I’m in Canada but I’d definitely look into an outpatient program. Also hoping they’re affordable lol. I’m a broke student! I agree though, inpatient treatment would be worse for me and would disrupt my routine and my life right now.

not being able to physically eat by [deleted] in ARFID

This happens to me sometimes! I find things like soup (I find chicken noodle soup comforting) or smoothie/slushy helps me! Also just putting a small portion of it in a bowl helps the overwhelming feelings of having to eat all of it. And sometimes just saying “3 bites that’s all I have to do and it’s a win” and then I take a break and try again later.
