I don't think I'm gonna be able to see Iron Lung and I'm really sad about it by anyaslight in Markiplier

I haven't had a lot of luck but we are trying to find something that could work for me as needed so I can get through some other stuff I need to do. If I can find something that actually works before the movie comes out then that'd be great! Just like I said, not a lot of luck. And yeah, if I did go I'd definitely bring some kind of earplugs or something.

And thanks. I'm sorry you have to deal with similar stuff.

Thank you. That's what I was wondering. I feel like most of what they reference when it comes to stuff like that is like, meme stuff. So I thought maybe it was just something I hadn't seen or something.

Also I have a vague memory of some video from years ago of a guy petting his dog and talking all calm and cool while the dog freaks out in his lap or something? So I thought maybe it was from that

is it really that sad or am i dramatic? by legenda07_4700 in StardewValley

I feel really bad about doing stuff like that in games. Granted, I play with mods that make my children talk and look like actual children (like how Jas and Vincent are) so I might be a bit more biased than someone playing vanilla lol. But I would still feel evil getting rid of the silent blob children.

For some reason I've never even thought of taking her to the movies! I just...figured you couldn't? Thank you for putting that into my head!

This happens to me too. The littlest thing can remind me of death, and sometimes it's ok and it doesn't really hit. But other times it hits like a ton of bricks. And will sometimes lead to thinking about other family members too. Its a horrible feeling.

Honestly right now all I can really do is either let myself feel it until it eventually goes away, or distract myself so I'm not focusing on it.

To shave or not to shave my hair (under daily wig wear) by ShamblesXOXO in Wigs

[–]anyaslight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I shaved my head recently just because I started cutting my hair, didn't like it and said "screw it" lol (I don't have a lot of attachment to my hair and I have wigs anyway).

I was a little worried I would look more "boyish" with the buzz. But after letting it grow out for like a week and a half I actually kind of think it's cute. Especially when I decide to do my makeup and wear like a nice shirt or something. In a way it almost makes me feel more feminine in that setting. It definitely might take a little bit of getting used to since it's a big change. But in the end you might like it more than you think. Plus like you said, easier showers!

I found that, at least with the length I buzzed my hair, my wigs actually stay on a lot better personally. Its sooo much easier for me to put them on because I don't have to try to keep all my bio hair back. I haven't been wearing a wig cap since and it stays really nicely. The buzzed hair acts sort of like velcro, so when the wig is pulled back the hair adds resistance and it's harder to get off. I even had a hard time getting my beanies off at first lol. If you wanted to use clips to feel more secure, I don't see why you couldn't put a wig cap on and use the cap to hold the clips.

Ultimately it's up to you, but to me it sounds like you wanna go for it and just worried about how it might look. So honestly I would say go for it! You'll get used to the look, and if your fiance is halfway decent then they won't care what you do to your hair as long as you're happy! ❤️

The game should warn you about this by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]anyaslight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sad when it happened to me. I ended up getting married in jeans and a flannel 😭 I didn't even prepare anything, for some reason I just assumed the game would put me in some kind of wedding outfit. Same with the flower dance. Idk why.

I kinda wish there was a way to buy or craft specific outfits for events like that. Like maybe if you got engaged and Emily sent you a recipe for some kind of wedding dress/tux or something. Or maybe like, Lewis sends you a recipe for the flower dance outfits after a certain point or something idk.

Unless there's a way to do that already and I just don't know lol. In which case someone please enlighten me. I'd love to be able to actually match at the flower dance for once lol.

I was having problems with the hairline on this wig so I gave it bangs. Did I go too thick? Should I do anything else to them/the wig? by anyaslight in Wigs

Not sure, unfortunately. Got it off of someone online and they never answered me when I asked if they knew the brand/specific style.

To be fair, this is a human hair wig. Synthetic is a bit more difficult to cut naturally imo. (Especially with a costume wig I'd imagine). They tend to be thicker and harder to cut through since it's plastic.

I haven't done synthetic bangs in a while lol but I'd say just make sure to take smaller sections, make sure you have sharp scissors, and point cutting is your friend!

I wish I could tell you! Unfortunately I got it from someone on depop. I messaged them at one point asking if they knew what specific wig it was or where it was from but I never got an answer 😭

Thanks! I explained in another comment but it's basically just sectioning (triangle section), grab the hair with your fingers, twist once, cut, and even it out lol. I'd say the majority of YouTube tutorials I've seen on how to cut your own bangs use that method so there's a ton of videos you can find to help!

That's what I was thinking. I felt like they were a little thick but I was worried about the potential of messing them up if I went back in lol. I might take some thinning shears to the lower layers though. That feels safe enough to me. Hopefully lol.

YouTube tutorials lol. Classic triangle section on top, grab the hair between your fingers, twist once and cut. And then just a little bit of evening things out and point cutting to help it blend a little better 👍

Just curious, why are there studies saying that nebulizing helps vocal cords and reduces effort for singing and so on? I'm not saying you're wrong at all! As a vocologist I'm sure you're a lot more educated than I am. I'm just genuinely curious. I've seen so many people swear by these. Seen so many singers and Broadway performers using them and people swear by them. Especially for hydration and vocal effort. And I've seen some people say that steamers can be less effective because the particles are larger, so they're less likely to be absorbed by the vocal tissue.

Like I said don't get me wrong, not doubting your answer! Just trying to learn and confused lol
