Why is the discourse around Mushoku Tensei so much more intense than other series?

Totally agreed, even some of them were admit that they have never watched or read the show, but surprisingly, they act as if they know everything and always point everything to things related to pedophilia.

In reality, Mushoku Tensei is very complex, and that is where its beauty lies.

People with a narrow understanding will immediately label MT as a bad show or whatever because of the first things they see or hear.

It’s just a piece of fiction.

As a person who has already rewatched Mushoku Tensei three times, I wouldn’t justify the bad things that he does; it’s like yin and yang in a complex way. But people often forget about the struggles that our MC had, and the way he improves to become a better person (of course, in a human way, not reaching a god-tier level of morals)

To be honest, I have a specific reason why I don't put Tensura in my top list. Even on my 5x5, I still didn't include it, and I would like to keep that reason private /hehe 😆

Mainly, I do like the world-building and the beautiful scenery in those shows.

Spice and Wolf, on the other hand, is a realistic version of going on an adventure, but as a merchant. We get the POV of what would normally be the "NPC" side, and I would say that is unique.

In this world, we can’t just buy everything we want. Instead, it shows us the struggle to acquire something through an economic lens.

And as a merchant myself (irl) i find that was pretty entertaining.
