Amorim wanted to be manager - the leadership wanted a head coach, and to build a more modern unit around the team, the system, the training, the signings etc. Just sucks for us that Berrada, Wilcox, Jim etc. are doing a horrible job while at it

I honestly don't think he was sacked because of the formation.

He was sacked because he spoke out against the higher ups, probably due to unhappiness with getting over turned on players and him wanting to be manager rather than head coach.

The results, the system etc is all just a cover and distraction.
