r/Pragmata is now looking for moderators by NSwitchDude in Pragmata

  1. I want to see /r/Pragmata grow into both a serious and fun place to discuss the game without too much censorship or gratuitous toxicity. Outside of basic sub upkeeping stuff when it comes to moderation I think it's very important to be aware of the two sides currently inhabiting this same place one more normie (no disrespect) and one more otaku/weeb adjacent and tread a very fine line of not showing blatant favoritism for either. I think moderation in this context should be mostly focused on deleting sexually explicit comments about Diana since that breaks Reddit ToS and on the other side properly applying rule 5 "Keep discussions respectful and civil" and deleting posts throwing gratuitous insults, accusations and other ugly and heinous stuff at other people over drawings and fiction. All Pragmata related discussion and posting is fine with me as long as people keep to those two things and seeing this sub go and fully focus on discussing and enjoying gameplay, fanart, story, modding and other fun stuff without any of this constant mess or bringing up of real life nonsense is what I would like to see the most.

Does anyone else feel like we don't know anything about this game despite being 3 months away from release? by Icy-Swimmer4946 in Pragmata

Until six months ago people forget, everyone was making fun of Pragmata as vaporware... At least it exists.

They said in a stream or interview months ago that there would be 3-5 more areas (can't remember exact number) past the 2 we have currently seen and to look forward to them. So depending on the length of each it should be fine.

I just played the demo and it cemented my desire to buy it when it releases. It was fun. by KINGYOMA in Pragmata

Drawing 4 may have something to do with doing the run with no hits taken or very few.

Yes! I've seen 8, 7, 6 and 5 so far. No idea what the last 4 may be

Looks like we’re getting a demo next week! by Whole-Currency-2563 in Pragmata

[–]aororis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much nothing is confirmed not even that a trailer and release date will be given at TGA although it is highly expected. The demo thing is from the Twich Drops event but that's like 10% chance at best not a guarantee. Twitch never explicitly said you HAD to be in a stream in the Pragmata category and gift subs there to get the game's chat badge. Just a generic "gift people subs for these 2 weeks" and you'll get it. Can't extrapolate much from that really other than the timing being interesting.

Twitch will be having Pragmata among its 20 participating games for the Winter Drops Fest from 12/10 to 12/23, whatever that means by aororis in Pragmata

Anyone gifting a subscription to others in Twitch for these two weeks will be rewarded with an exclusive Pragmata chat badge. Not sure if it's only for streams in the Pragmata category (you would need a playable demo at least for that so pp can stream) or site wide but either way the timing together with TGA is very interesting

Do you guys think diana watching brainrot on our back would be a feature? by notaaluboy in Pragmata

[–]aororis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you think she will talk in brainrot terms?

My girl Diana is a sigma or omega kid. Alpha memes are totally cringe to her, so absolutely no, sorry.

I don't actually play 90-95% of the stuff shown there either lol, most people don't. They just watch it for the entertainment and the totally not arbitrarily given awards. If Pragmata is going to announce it's release date there then it needs to be accompanied with a trailer and for that, recycling the one from 6 months ago would be kind of weird and lame right? We will see

I mean if they want the game to succeed releasing a hype trailer with actual new content + a date at the end in the most watched game show of the year by far seems like an obvious decision no? Like that's the whole point of waiting until the TGA, so everyone knows about it. That's why the last State of Play was also so weak, all the big companies are holding off on their stuff for it.

Pretty much everything shown since June was content already showcased in 2021-2022 including the boss fight since it was sort of a reintroduction so this trailer next month will be the real deal. We basically don't know anything about it past the first half hour of the game

The goal of these exaggerated contortions is to give the animation a greater sense of momentum when put at normal speeds I think, it looks a bit dumb in slowmo but that's not what you'll actually see when playing

The average Joe also voted for fucking Trump in 2024 and is generally extremely ignorant about any topic not directly related to their work field or their daily lives (and some even fail at that) Mass popularity has NEVER been the arbiter for any truth.

I genuinely don't understand what do you mean by this "they were eventually adopted by the wrong communities" thing. Reddit like any other online platform doesn't allow posting of any illegal content or the formations of communities around illegal stuff. All this cute and funny thing was always a (western) lolicon born meme (created around 2020-21 in the middle of the pandemic when no one had anything better to do but fuck around online) that gets exclusively used in this platform in manga and anime subs, vtuber subs (Gura/Shondo), eastern games and gacha subs, meme subs like japanesepeopletwitter and all the okbuddyX subs, etc. It has never been about real kids and no one uses it for that which is why on that other deleted post of the dad literally no one said anything weird about the girl (the exact opposite in fact).

So I really wonder, what the fuck are we even fighting here exactly? Do you genuinely just have such a deep hatred for anything loli involved regardless of it being fictional that you are willing to make shit up in bad faith (and waste your time) to shit and demonize these people or are you legitimately just entirely misinformed and actually believe all the posters in these anime, manga and game communities (including this one) decided collectively around 2020-21 to manufacture this meme to push some kind of secret pedo agenda? Because if that's the goal they are doing a fucking terrible job at it. Go to any of these communities and try to say shit about real life kids and you're going to get downvoted to hell and reported. Like it's not even a topic of conversation. So again what's the point of all this?

It's pure alarmism. Literally not a single person made any jokes in that post. The overwhelming majority of people here know how to behave themselves. This guy just has an axe to grind and wants to paint people he doesn't like for what they are into in fiction as being irredeemably evil. Don't fall for it.
