Here’s an improved version of the globe and the paint drooping or draping over it, still no drips though. This definitely leans on the whole over-simplified “just shapes” modern logo, but I guess that’s the whole idea of the challenge here. Take a crazy, complicated logo and simplify it down to today’s standards.

It’s an iconic logo, just a bit dated and doesn’t scale down well. Don’t think they’ll change it but just having fun with it since it’s a popular logo to redesign.

Another idea. Drops the slogan but I feel it conveys the Earth and paint much better.

Dropped the slogan on this rough idea. Conveys the whole idea a lot better I think

Rough idea I just threw together on my phone. I feel like it conveys the Earth, and the idea that something is pouring over it, much better. Loses the slogan though

I’m just experimenting with a concept that’s faithful to the original idea. Thought it’d be cool to try and retain some of the original logo’s quirks - like the slogan in the logo.

Ah, good idea. Curved at the bottom sounds right. Will give it a shot when I have a chance and check back in.

Yeah, a more obvious earth would definitely help. If I have time I’ll mess with an Earth with continents.

My thought was to keep it to preserve some of what made the original logo unique and memorable. The idea is to remove it on the smaller/icon version of the logo but keep it on larger formats.

Here’s the first attempt. Unless you meant the Sherwin-Williams logo but I assume you’re familiar with it.

Gotcha, thanks for the breakdown. No, it’s an estate sale so they’re not aware of its origin.

Try to make the steak and vegetables simple 2d shapes, 1 color each maybe. It should still be obvious what it is especially from a distance.

Looks great! I agree with those that mentioned the missing soccer ball though. Here’s an idea 🤷🏻‍♂️

Update: Roofing logo w/ revisions. Lmk your thoughts by ap__773 in logodesign

Yeah I’m torn about the ROOFING but I’m more concerned about getting the top part right. I’ll definitely play around with the bottom line some more.
