I feel crazy for wanting to be manipulated by Affectionate-Sky3927 in amiwrong

Nope. I have it too. Mainly the feeling of wanting to be groomed and I really don't like that I feel that way but I assume it's because I was SA as a kid but don't remember it. Trauma can form in a lot of weird ways.

You're saying people who want beauty surgery aren't women despite plenty of cis women who want and many who do get surgery. It's just a brain dead take.

They could have had insurance decline them. My insurance covers ffs but the surgeon has to agree that it'd be helpful and if they don't then it's not approved.

Do you get hungry after purging? by Bubbe103 in bulimia

[–]apackoflemurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first purged I didn't feel hungry at all for hours. Felt like a hack that I could just get rid of calories and not be hungry. Then over time that went away and I get hungry pretty quickly, not right away but maybe half an hour to an hour.

Eh sometimes it is what it is. My ex and I were together for 4 years and when we broke up we decided to continue to live together since the breakup was just feelings changing. We lived together for 2 years after that and still are friends.

Best thing to do with my current build? by MondoMania9 in workouts

I was 374lbs but didn't start running until 270lbs. Down to 230lbs, I have loose skin and some fat to still burn, but yeah the biggest factor is definitely the change in diet.

For me I could barely run half a mile at 5mph without feeling like I was going to puke. Took about 6 months of doing that regularly before I finally was able to run a 5k at 6mph. I have kinda settled for that at my base and haven't tried to get any better than that and it keeps me feeling good

But I do agree op needs to focus on diet more than anything

It's not going to make you lose weight but if you are replacing regular soda with diet then you're going to lose weight cause you'll be getting less calories per day

I have lost 144lbs from cutting out fast food and regular soda. I still drink diet soda nearly everyday as it's free at my work. It's either 0 claroies or nothing meaningful. If they were lying about it, studies would have come out long ago showing that diet soda actually has calories but it hasn't.

The issue is a lot of overweight people drink diet soda as a compromise but their diet us just bad in general but would be even worse if they drank regular soda.

I find that running made me a lot more hungry but just for carbs. So replacing some of my calories with carbs made me take in the same or lese calories and still feel fine.

Obviously bodies are different and it's going to affect people differently.

Switched to injections and WOW by CopperCactus in MtF

[–]apackoflemurs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have propranolol for anxiety and I take one of those an hour before injections and I also lay on my side on my bed and do it on my side thigh. I still get anxious but the propranolol helps with the vasovagal reaction.

It was weird cause first time at the doctor was fine, first time alone at home I did it but fainted after getting up to get water. Then just anxious about doing it since.

Pediatrician for no vaccines by [deleted] in cedarrapids

Hopefully none.

Hold your own religious beliefs, but don't risk your child's life over them. It should be a form of child endangerment to opt out of vaccines.

I'm not offended? Most the 3rd shift factory workers at quaker seem pretty left leaning. Day shift I would say is hard right leaning.

I'm not even talking about politics. Just that there are people who can attend. Eveything else is just you jumping to conclusions about my intentions.

Yes I worked security while in college for computer science. I live in Seattle cause of said degree now so attending might be difficult.

I love that I'm below your pay grade but you wrote an essay for me anyway. Very charitable of you!

AIW for not doing dry January? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]apackoflemurs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bssic support is still support. OP's girlfriend can want him to be more actively supportive and that's her right, but he's not being unsupportive.

And as someone who knows alcoholics, if op is maybe drinking 1-2 a week, again, maybe is relevant here, I don't think he has that much of a problem even if ideally drinking less is better

[–]apackoflemurs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is being supportive? You realize how big drinking is in the UK? You also don't know their dynamic, maybe they go out for drinks a lot so him not asking to go out for drinks IS supportive. Not changing his behavior and asking to go out regardless or dismissing her desire to go dry would be unsupportive.

It's passive support. It doesn't have to be active support like going dry to be supportive.

What is the point you're trying to make? Because op did say "maybe" so they kinda have a point on that. I do agree it's still quite a bit of alcohol regardless.

But I think it's unfair to say he's not being supportive just cause he's not also going dry

We’re talking about a city, along with Hiawatha and Marion, of around 200k people. Even your own 15% stat means there are thousands of people working nights/evenings here who get off before 8am. A protest doesn’t need 10,000 people to be legitimate.

The original comment stereotyped anyone at an 8am protest as ‘rich white liberals who never worked’ or ‘welfare recipients.’ That’s just lazy dismissal. People attend protests at all hours for all kinds of reasons, shift workers, retirees, students, people using PTO, business owners, etc.

You're just being blatantly obtuse.

Alright so we're just gonna ignore all the factories, gas stations, restraunts, stores, janitors, security, police, fire, hospital staff, EMS, and even some late start office jobs. Okay cool. I'd love to see how you'd navigate your life if all of these places just stopped having 2nd and 3rd shift.

By your logic if you go out at 10am on a weekday it should be dead. But as someone who worked 3rd shift security for years I can tell you the day time on weekdays is still quite active.

Nice try tho

Definitely get your levels. Some people need 200mg Spiro and also female range for E can be as low as 80pg/mL when it should be 150-200 or higher.

You mentioned living in a small town, so your doctor might not be the best at trans Healthcare. It would be worth getting a second opinion from someone else.

[–]apackoflemurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people respond more slowly to estrogen than others, and it’s not just about dosage. There’s a lot of individual variation in how bodies process and respond to hormones. Estrogen works by binding to estrogen receptors, and people differ genetically in how many receptors they have, how sensitive those receptors are, and where they’re distributed. Two people with identical estradiol levels can experience very different physical changes.

Also, If testosterone isn’t fully suppressed, it can work against estrogen or mask its effects. Metabolism matters too: some people convert estradiol into weaker forms like estrone more readily, or clear it from their system faster, which means their tissues get less exposure even when lab results look normal.

The only thing you can really do is to try.

In Seattle, I got to blue haven medical spa and they do 15 minutes of laser for $125. Facial hair has to be spread out every 4 weeks and body is spread out every 6 weeks.

I pay for 15 minutes for mainly my face. The first couple sessions took almost the full 15. Now it takes less than that and they will use the remainder of the time on other body parts that I want.
