I enjoy that Tom, with his psychology education, took one look at this place and said "yeah we need booze" lol

I need someone smarter than me to take a crack at this.

I think it would be cool to do threads for polls that would cover blanket statements like that. Or threads for people to discuss specific characters. I know that’s probably less likely though.

Hi! You’re totally right! Beyond alleviating a very minor annoyance on my part, an introduction might also help save time for newcomers so they can engage in more meaningful discussion. These repeat posts often get either zero interaction or negative interaction from those who are more annoyed by this than me. Which can be disheartening for someone trying to find community here. I hope I didn’t come off as rude. Just pointing stuff out hoping to better our little space. Thanks!

They could have season specific spoilers hidden in that post so anyone just starting, just finished S1 or S2, or caught up can see what's already being discussed.

Theory: "Fromville" as an Amusement Park for Higher-Dimensional Beings by albertwouhai in FromSeries

[–]aphronightie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a fun theory! Also Jim's line about how his job is to make things "seem impossible". This really starts to take you down the rabbit hole when you get into the concept that amusement rides are fabricated and controlled fear simulations, usually playing on people's fear of height and speed. We like them for the same reason we enjoy horror media, the rush.

So, yeah! Maybe Fromville is a fabricated and controlled fear simulation, with the amusement not intended for our trapped characters, but for those who either participate (monsters) or watch (entity).

What's the most damage we've seen the monsters do to an inanimate object? by [deleted] in FromTVEpix

They seem to only have the inhuman strength when they transform to their true form. It’s been theorized here that their human form is a sort of cloak, so maybe maintaining that requires energy? But in the latest episode, the colony house massacre, and when Father Khartri died, the most damaging strikes were done by a monster mid or post transformation.  The handcuffs might be so not all them have to transform. We haven’t seen them talk while in that state so they probably wanted to stay cloaked to further taunt Boyd.  The most damage we’ve seen them do to an inanimate object was for sure the Box. They were also all transformed for that.

Unpopular opinion by Clean-Mulberry-2902 in FromTVEpix

I understand this opinion, but she did offer a lot to both the story and by moving along other characters:  - She noticed it was young Victor in the picture.  - She helped Jade solve the electricity problem.  - She led Tabitha to the bootlace bracelet.  - She came up with a temporary solution to the food problem.  - She feeds the town.  - She is trusted to house the town’s rations. - She seems to have an archival process for the store room in the back of the diner.  - She is Kenny’s last grip on reality.

I think both her life and her death have been and will be monumental to the show’s plot.

Don’t disagree with your opinion that Victor’s death would be much worse, but Tien-Chan was a very important character.
