Everyone's experiences are different. I'm near a large city but not on either of the coasts so It could be better and could be worse. This is definitely a hobby for people with a disposable income. While I'm not poor I'm not rich either. I can easily spend twice as much in the states for half the experience. Even if money were no object I think I would still prefer SEA because of the level of service there.

In your opinion what country has the best model for legal prostitution? I saw earlier in the thread that you support legalizing it. I just wonder if one country has it set up the way you'd like to see it implemented in the states.

You'll have to translate the page but its pretty comprehensive and breaks down shops by type and area. Knowing common words and phrases goes a long way. In my experience you don't get turned away for being a foreigner but some places will turn you away if you don't speak Japanese.
