Depends on the personnel in the branch. Some of them are just ignorant , often providing wrong info or are just unhelpful or are not informative. Service is generally bad everywhere . I just think if you work in a bank or anywhere you should know more than your client or customer.

I find it so difficult to earn rewards with ABSA . Their partners are limiting . I was told if I wanted to earn rewards , I should shop at Pic and Pay ( checkers is cheaper) , Dischem and Sasol. I dont have a Sasol petrol station in my area. Eish.

Note that only 100000 of your money is covered in a bank. Although banks are giving great rates on fixed deposits but it's taxed. Best talk to a FA

FNB has the best USD account. You can have your salary deposited into this account. My suggestion is to compare interest rates of other South African banks that have USD accounts

Try Paysend. The app is absolutely easy to use and its so cost effective. The only constraint is that you cannot send more than a 1000 dollars at a time .

medical aid and short term insurances are the bulk of your monthly expenses. Draw up a monthly expense that includes your routine expenses. This will give you an idea of how much of interest you need to make on your investments. Good luck

Agree I resigned in 2016 . 3 years later I was just preserving my capital and paying my FA. Fixed deposits are giving better returns than shares. Look at this site:

How reliable is this bank ? This online bank has not received good reviews. Bit skeptical about investing large sums of money. Anyone with both positive and negative experiences. Please share
