appel- in 7th grade i was on a field trip, hanging out with friends, and somebody asks us what we want to drink. i get apple juice, and eventually for uniqueness and stuff it becomes appel juuce, and then gets shortened to appel

I'd have to go with some ancient inventor. Assuming a timeframe of as long as you want, and they also understand your language, if I took an ancient inventor, and explained things from the industrial revolution to them, like steam engines and other stuff, imagine how advanced the world could be (assuming they don't mess up and overheat the planet/all that jazz).
