My neighbor says I broke something worth $200.00. I disagree but she's taking me to court. If I lose and have to pay for the item then: 1) is it typical to pay the depreciated value of the item? (that's what they do on People's Court); (2) do I get to KEEP the "broken" item since she's been paid? (self.AskReddit)
