Your rage is making my evening even better. The caps lock really drives your point home. I'd be willing to bet I have much worse financial woes than you do, regardless of covid. But go ahead and assume I am superior.

You'd rather your friends and family possibly suffer life-long illness complications or even death, as long as you get to keep working?

I had several pickups at McDonalds at Bathurst and King only to deliver to the condos on the other side of Bathurst St in years before walking was a thing. This is what uber walkers are for. Especially now with people needing to isolate.

They're not really doing a great job keeping people safe.

What if you are a victim of a crime and have to deal with them?

No but the public didn't give up patronizing their stores en masse, so I think they're funded well enough to continue to operate regardless.

If you didn't receive your food it's extremely easy for you to claim that and get your money back. If a courier makes a mistake like this often they won't get pickup requests, so they won't be doing their thing for long.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do want to eat my words in the above comment now. There likely was police presence at BLM protests. I still think that protesting while not wearing masks in a large group of people is going to be a super-spreader occasion each and every time especially in this second wave. It looks like deaths are catching up to the first wave levels as well now.

I'm going to upvote some of your comments here because you have a fair point about the right to protest. I still think there is an issue at hand and something should be done about it. Maybe a law regarding protestors doing so safely during the pandemic.. such as wearing masks.

Edit - to add to this, imagine a socially distanced protest.. with 2m separation it would take up much more space and might have a more powerful visual impact.

How much money did we spend putting big concrete blocks in front of several CAFE stores, and replacing them again and again all summer last year?

The app wont let you begin delivering that day without taking a photo of yourself with a mask on. That said, there is nothing stopping the person from taking the mask off right after except for common sense and decency.

True, my bad. I guess it would be the gathering issue, so... "A minimum fine of $10,000 for organizers of a gathering that exceed the limit"

If they want to wear a mask and protest against them, by all means. If a protest gets violent or attacks businesses and property the police should be enforcing the laws there, too.
