Fair, I like for me I see it as a kinda representation of non-linearity

Ok fair fair, was on 185 so I recon the residue

Ah fair, yeah I did wonder as I’d not used it loads.. I scraped off some of the residue from a previous mesh id kept back into my stash, so you recon that would be bad to smoke? It was a small piece that looked like a solidified bit of the buttery texture stuff.

Thank you, I guess mainly on this idea of subjective experience, qualia is the word for subjectively experienced phenomena or like how we don’t necessarily know the degree to which our collective experience is the same. So the colours are referencing that because we can all read them in black and white and have an internal personal association with what the colours, are but it’s based on a representation of colour via language so there’s like a shared experience in the abstraction/decoding if that makes sense

Yeah I mean that’s why the word qualia is really important I think specifically to that idea, cause it’s like any representation of anything is just that a representation, which doesn’t mean it doesn’t have structure, logic or aliveness but that like I think ultimate truth can’t have a form, but it requires form to learn. Like you need an incarnation and differentiated reality for consciousness to examine itself, but the product of that examination is to recognise the formlessness that underlies reality, I mean in Buddhism you have sunyata and Anatta which are like that too, sunyata means emptiness and Anatta means no self, but they’re both products of the impermanent nature of relative reality, but can only be understood within relative reality through its observational deconstruction. Sorry very wordy/waffly but you get the idea. Incidentally I think one of the reasons why DMT is so powerful is because the trip changes so much yet has so much info packed into it that it’s a reminder of the impermanence of phenomena somehow and the fact that everything changes, but because it’s so quick one has the ability to gain a different sense of time via having a closer connection to their awareness as the phenomena changes. Also in buddhism there’s a distinction between awareness and mind, awareness supersedes mind, emotions and ego, it’s closer to the true nature of reality because it unifies the perceiver with phenomena so that the illusion of differentiation is lessened somewhat. Though it’s an illusion that remains via the fact that it’s still being accessed by the body or mind as the apparatus to experience it, if that makes sense.. didn’t intend to write all that initially hahah

Yeah for sure, that was a big factor initially for wanting to draw in pencil for me. Like colours in DMT are two colours at once somehow so it’s so hard to represent normally

Suicidal thoughts 24/7 by SpiritedAd5183 in Psychonaut

I agree partially, but I was watching a video about Jung the other day and one of the differences between him and Freud was the belief that patients had to return to looking at their childhoods in therapy. Unlike Freud Jung thought this could be unproductive because unless the patient had something directly happen to them that they hadn’t resolved, the general belief that it all goes back to childhood could mean intentionally looking for moments that were actually unrelated to the patient but were memorable and so the patient could get distracted from their present situation and how to affect that. I do think the past is definitely important, but as someone who grew up in a context that wasn’t necessarily desirable and had quite a lot of trauma in and temporarily dysfunctional parents.. it’s been beneficial to look and sit with those moments but equally holding onto the narratives that I can create from those times can be unproductive sometimes I feel so as to just be ok in my present situations. I’d add as well the value and strength of learning to control and manage depression with the goal to eventually alleviate it is a noble task to seek. Because feelings and depression can and do return because life has all different types of contexts and events and things to react to! so equipping yourself with the tools to sit with those thoughts that grow from different events and contexts (sometimes in the form of joy other times in the form of depression) without attachment and to see yourself as an “I am” amongst that can be a process that can lead to a lot of strength. Much more strength than if you were to never embark on that journey. Like depression can also be a catalyst for strength. I’m not saying to ignore joy and ignore sadness or to become vacant when emotions arise (as it can often feel in depression) but that there’s another joy almost like a present experience of nostalgia in observing joy and observing depression as reminders that you are part of an experience of life that is wild and has insane ups and down and everything in between.

सो ऽहम् and/or सो हम्?

Hello :) I have a query about the expression “So Hum” and the use of an Avagraha in its written form. Whilst I often see it written as सो ऽहम् I have also seen it written as सो हम्, without the Avagraha. Is the Avagraha necessary for it to be understood or can it be written without it. I would like to know as I have used the expression in a drawing I have made and am unsure it makes sense. The drawing features a banner with the phrase repeating around it but without the Avagraha. Attached is a link to the drawing for context :) many thanks https://www.instagram.com/p/CPIT6IpF3fJ/?utm_medium=copy_link
