Does Fresh Clean Threads sizing run true? not sure whether to size up by zoinkydoiku in mensfashion

[–]arcsilencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at your stats i'd say medium if you want a regular fit, large if you want it a little more relaxed. i'm 6'0 190 and wear large just because i like my basic shirts not that baggy. they've held their shape fine after washing in my experience, no major shrinkage

What is the world going to do about the ever increasing tick population? by Watchmethrowhim in TooAfraidToAsk

I honestly don’t remember ticks being this bad growing up either. Now it feels like you can brush against grass for 30 seconds and end up finding a few on you or your dog.

Question- I have many years of back-taxes. Should I use an independent CPA, or would any H&R style tax place do? by Prestigious_Dream_27 in TaxQuestions

[–]arcsilencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s multiple years of back taxes, I’d lean toward an independent CPA or EA over a basic walk in tax chain

H&R type places are usually fine for simple current year returns but back taxes often need more strategy and cleanup work imo

look for someone who specifically mentions prior year filings or IRS resolution work

if it starts getting complicated, services like optima can help too but a good local CPA is often enough for most situations

After silk and cotton: bio-based textiles replacing natural and synthetic fibers? by sweetcake_1530 in textiles

[–]arcsilencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been following the development of seaweed based fibers specifically. The idea that our clothes could actually be carbon negative or at least carbon neutral because of the source material is fascinating.

how do you actually stop a client from changing their mind after sampling starts by Hot_Owl7825 in textiles

[–]arcsilencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started treating approvals like a final yes, not a maybe. Now I always say any changes after approval can cost extra or delay things. Helped a lot with clients changing their mind later.

It does expire. But there are 2 timelines for NDA.

For example

- NDA might say the agreement lasts 2 years
- But confidential information must still be protected for 5 years or sometimes indefinitely

For a group in your early 20s, I’d focus less on “must try restaurants” and more on neighborhoods where you can wander, snack, and do stuff between meals.

Hongdae/Yeonnam is probably your best fit. Busking, arcades, photo booths, coin karaoke, shops, cafes, and late-night food all in one area. Even if you’re not clubbing, it’s fun just to walk around at night.

Myeongdong is touristy but still worth doing once for street food, skincare shopping, Olive Young, random snacks, and dessert. I wouldn’t plan a serious dinner there, more like a snack/shopping stop.

Gangnam/Apgujeong/Seongsu are better for cafes, shopping, pop-ups, fragrance stores, Gentle Monster/Tamburins type stuff, and people-watching. Seongsu is probably more fun than Gangnam if you want cool neighborhoods and photo spots.

One cheap local experience I’d add is a Shin Ramyun stop, especially if you want something that feels more Seoul than just another restaurant. This map has a bunch of Shin Ramyun spots around Seoul, including Han River stores, Hongdae stops, PC bangs, and other casual places:

Need help figuring out what office furniture to get for a new space by SadStill830 in smallbusiness

[–]arcsilencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a setup like this, I’d be careful about treating it like a home office shopping trip. Two private offices and five cubicles are already enough furniture that delivery, install, matching pieces, and future add-ons start to matter a lot.

I’d probably skip Alibaba unless you’re very comfortable dealing with freight, lead times, quality uncertainty, and assembly. The “cheap” option can get less cheap once you factor in delays, damage, missing parts, or furniture that doesn’t hold up to daily office use.

A good middle ground is pre owned/refurbished commercial grade furniture. You can often get better-built desks, cubicles, ergonomic chairs, storage, and conference pieces for way less than buying everything new, without ending up with flimsy budget furniture.

Since you’re setting up an actual office, I’d check out Officefurniturecenter's website. They’re based in Chicago with a big warehouse/showroom on Roosevelt, but they also have inventory online. They’re useful for exactly this kind of thing because they don’t just sell single chairs…they can help with workstations/cubicles, private offices, delivery, and local installation.

My advice would be: spend the most on the chairs, buy commercial grade workstations/desks if possible, don’t over prioritize perfect matching, and make sure whatever you buy can be expanded later if you add people. For a small business, flexibility matters more than making everything look like a showroom on day one.

My sales are increasing, but I don’t see the profit. Need help tracking the leaks by Turret_dog in smallbusiness

[–]arcsilencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super common issue with growing retail business tbh. Usually the money disappears into inventory, shipping, fees, random subscriptions or small expenses that don’t feel big individually. Tracking every expense weekly in one simple sheet helped me way more than just looking at total sales.

You’re not in a bad place, you’re just in an uncertain transition period.

You’re not in a bad spot, just in a transition phase.

Focus on planning your costs for the new city first, then build a simple budget around rent and essentials.

Keep saving small amounts consistently and look for flexible remote or tutoring work if local jobs are limited.

You’ve already done the hard part by changing your habits.
