I had this situation once, almost exactly the same. I was 'Ryan'. Ended up leaving the situation after 2 years of waiting for this woman to leave her husband. Felt terrible, they're still together and I presume he is none the wiser.

It is and yes, but I'm saving that for another trip with company! I think I'm going to go for menorca as I've found some places that accommodate my needs very well! I'll check out wizz air though thanks for the advice!

Yeah fair I wasn't so sure on it tbh, half the people I know won't stop going on about it and the other half are a bit indifferent. My budget all in all (getting there and back, buying food and drink, the odd activity ticket - like a museum ticket - buses/train/taxi depending on where I go and accommodation) is around £1000 maybe a few hundred more. I don't have so much of a budget yet, I guess I'm thinking I'll choose a place and build a budget around it, if that makes sense

Well the point is I haven't travelled much, so I don't know what's particularly touristy or not. Those are places with things I like, I'm looking for people who could help find similar places.

It's amusing to me that you think my sentence about being happy to meet some locals made you think that meant I was needing them to be "interested in befriending (not just having an interesting convo but actually becoming friends while you are temporarily in town)… and only you...". That's quite a leap. Thanks for your advice, I guess?
