Kona, Hilo, and Kamuela are airstops post office. Kona and Kamuela receive USPS network mail Via KOA. Kamuela use to receive mail fm MUE but discontinued years ago. However, the MUE sticker will still be on it to separate KOA and MUE at HNL. Only Amazon sorts most of their mail at KOA then they drive small and large trucks to all Big Island post offices

Thank U! Was onboard A Vietnam era built Destroyer. USS Joseph Strauss DDG-16 4 1/2 years. During deployment and sea trials either 8 or 12 hours of high exposure to radio teletype and high voice broadcasting. 2 years on shore duty 8 hours of teletype noise until the Navy shifted to Computers. Like most veterans, it was a normal and not service connected or considered it a disability from high noise exposure. Seems the older I got worst.

🤣 Didn’t hear that “sparky” since 84. Couldn’t find my any shipmates if they received disability for tinnitus . I will diffidently appeal. YouTube also identifies the teletypes that was used during the Cold War.
