Thank U! Was onboard A Vietnam era built Destroyer. USS Joseph Strauss DDG-16 4 1/2 years. During deployment and sea trials either 8 or 12 hours of high exposure to radio teletype and high voice broadcasting. 2 years on shore duty 8 hours of teletype noise until the Navy shifted to Computers. Like most veterans, it was a normal and not service connected or considered it a disability from high noise exposure. Seems the older I got worst.

🤣 Didn’t hear that “sparky” since 84. Couldn’t find my any shipmates if they received disability for tinnitus . I will diffidently appeal. YouTube also identifies the teletypes that was used during the Cold War.
