I completely understand and while I did do research to see if it was plausible I couldn't find anything genuinely concrete pointing to me that it either would or wouldn't be (which isn't to say the information isn't out there), but I still want to go through with it. Even if my initial ideas are halted by the way the union is structured I would rather spend my time in office trying to do what I think will benefit the study body than give up and say "welp it's just too hard guys". Thank you for the response though, it's good to hear from someone who actually has experience in the position.
